💬 Most companies talk about ethics after something goes wrong.

Gergana Dimitrova has spent 20+ years making sure it never gets to that point.

As Director of Global Compliance at Paysafe, she's navigated regulatory exams, AML frameworks, and the kind of decisions that don't have easy answers. She's also quietly mentored a generation of women who are now leaders across the industry.

In her conversation with us, she said something that really stuck:
"Don't treat ethics or compliance as something you add later — build them into your product, your decisions, and your culture from day one."

And on AI in financial services — she's direct: producing outcomes isn't enough anymore. Businesses will need to show how those outcomes were reached, and prove they are fair, consistent, and explainable.

The Paysafe AI Hackathon is a global Paysafe initiative that brings employees from around the world together to experiment with AI, share ideas, and build solutions for real business challenges. Last month, 140+ participants teamed up across locations of the company with support from partners AWS and Replit.

The MCPx Team, with 3 representatives from Bulgaria out of 5 members, took first place with MCP Connectors for Enterprise Systems - a smart AI solution that connects Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Splunk, allowing teams to get instant, AI-generated insights with a single question.

Among the other solutions presented were AI-powered digital wallets, intelligent developer tools, merchant insights platforms, and creative, AI-led demos - showcasing the breadth of ideas and innovation across Paysafe.

The diversity of solutions built in just a few days reinforces an important message: AI has the power to transform how companies operate. From automating routine tasks to generating real-time enterprise intelligence, AI enables more agile teams and more innovative products. Implementing these capabilities at scale will strengthen our competitive edge and ensure we continue to lead in a rapidly evolving payments landscape.
