This Saturday, our volunteers had the privilege of joining the Social Kitchen organized by St. Elijah Church in Druzhba, where dedicated volunteers prepare and serve meals for people in need.

We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful initiative and support a community built on kindness, generosity, and service. Thank you to everyone who took part and gave their time to help others.

Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has the power to make a difference.🤍

Our Community Exchange event has successfully come to an end, and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone who joined us! 💚

Thanks to the dedication of our amazing volunteers, the space was transformed into a welcoming place where people could exchange clothes, toys, books, and household items instead of letting them go to waste. Every item shared was a step toward a more sustainable future and a stronger community.

Throughout the day, our volunteers welcomed participants, organized donations, assisted visitors, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Their teamwork, kindness, and positive energy made this event possible.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, exchanged, volunteered, and supported this initiative. Together, we proved that small actions can create a big impact—for our community and for the environment. 🌱♻️

Our IFYD & Association "Professional Forum for Education" Volunteers Internal Training Weekend in Petrohan (12-15 June, 2026) was packed with learning, connection, cooking, nature, and fun! 🌿🍳⛰️✨ 🧑‍🍳
From planning meals and cooking together to sports activities, peer education, mock sessions, games, and karaoke, every moment helped strengthen our bonds. We also enjoyed hiking and nature-based activities, including exploring the beautiful surroundings of Petrohan and collecting herbs together. 🦌 🍄‍🟫 🐜 🌿 🏔️ 🌸

A special session on defence mechanisms helped us better understand ourselves and each other, improving communication, cooperation, and positive intentions within the team. 🤝
The weekend created a safe space for learning, sharing, reflection, laughter, and adventure, leaving everyone inspired and ready for the next steps of their volunteering journey.

We stand in solidarity with refugees everywhere.
We believe that every person deserves safety, dignity, and hope, regardless of where they come from or the challenges they face. In times of uncertainty and displacement, we choose compassion over indifference, humanity over division, and support over silence

We stand with refugees, today and always.

From the Balkans with open eyes and open hearts. 🌍

Unscripted: From Silence to Impact

Bright and courageous young people and youth workers from Austria/Pakistan, Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Iraq, Italy, Lebanon, Romania, Serbia, Syria, Türkiye, and Ukraine gathered in the heart of Bulgaria for a transformative week of dialogue, art, and healing.

Through theater-based methods, creative workshops, and open-hearted conversations, we explored some of the most intimate and too often silenced topics of our time: sexual health and rights, HIV and AIDS awareness and prevention, FGC (female ge***al cutting), and the discrimination faced by people based on their sexual orientation and gender identity.

Because bodies deserve knowledge.
Because stigma costs lives.
Because every person regardless of who they love, where they come from, or what they’ve been through deserves dignity, safety, and access to information.

We created community theater pieces that didn’t shy away from complexity.
They named fear.
They held space for survivors.
They challenged taboos rooted in culture, religion, and silence.

And they reminded us: art doesn’t just reflect reality : it can transform it.

“Unscripted: From Silence to Impact” is more than a project. It’s proof that when diverse voices share a stage, something powerful happens. 🎭

A small action starts in one corner of the world… then travels across borders, languages, and cultures.

From different countries, backgrounds, and experiences, our ESC volunteers came together with one shared belief: protecting our planet starts with everyday actions. 🌱

Because real change doesn’t happen through one big action. It happens when many people, in many places, choose to act together.

Today, the globe is in all our hands. What action will you take for our planet? 🌎

Our volunteers recently participated in the Erasmus+ training course “Beyond the Algorithm” in Romania, bringing together youth workers from across Europe to explore the role of AI in youth work and community development.

🤖 Through interactive sessions and hands-on learning, we discovered practical ways to use AI tools responsibly, enhance digital skills, and promote media literacy among young people.

💡 We are excited to bring new ideas, fresh perspectives, and valuable international connections back to our community through IFYD Foundation.

The village of Belchin, Bulgaria, became a vibrant hub for passionate young changemakers from Armenia, 🇦🇲 Bulgaria, 🇧🇬 Romania, 🇷🇴 Serbia, 🇷🇸 Ukraine, 🇺🇦 Iraq, 🇮🇶 Morocco, 🇲🇦 Moldova, 🇲🇩 Czechia, 🇨🇿 and Syria. 🇸🇾

Through interactive workshops and nature-based activities, Intercultural Football Fair Play Match and sports activities our diverse group explored crucial topics:

Participants shared their unique cultures, broke down barriers, and built the skills needed to drive meaningful action back home. While our “roots” may differ, our “routes” toward solidarity and empathy bring us together!

This exchange was organised by the International Foundation for Y-PEER Development (IFYD) from Bulgaria 🇧🇬 with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, and in partnership with our great partners from from Romania 🇷🇴 and .ngo from Serbia 🇷🇸.

Grateful for being part of this youth space renovation : a former school given new life has been a heartwarming experience we’ve shared as volunteers from and .

From the moment we arrived, the village wrapped us in its warmth.
The friendly stray 🐕 greeting us and guiding us to the kind locals who welcomed us like old friends leading us to the building, standing quietly beside a beautiful old Orthodox Church. ⛪️

We rolled up our sleeves, learned the simple yet satisfying art of filling holes with concrete, and left a small piece of ourselves in these walls.

Then came the pleasure to be invited to a table full of traditional Bulgarian food, shared in a true family atmosphere.
History, community, and hope all sitting at the same table. 🍽️

Debro, the heart behind this project, inherited this place from his grandfather, the school’s former director and he’s making this space something special: a future home for young people, rooted in memory and built with love.

As IFYD and PFE teams, we thank him for having our volunteers, , and who are looking forward to return, and soon, to celebrate with music the promising future this project carries 🎶
