“I’m so bored in Sofia” said no one in May. 😎
Here’s what’s actually happening this month - from the Giro d’Italia Stage 1 finishing at Alexander Nevsky to Iron Maiden ending it with fire at the stadium. Plenty in between too.
Save this post for later. ✅

The Giro d’Italia is rolling into Sofia. 🚴‍♀️ One of the biggest cycling events in the world is coming through our country, starting from the seaside and finishing right in front of Aleksandar Nevsky Cathedral.
And if you need a base for the day (or the week), you’ll find us just around the corner in Studentski grad. 🩷
✔️24/7 coworking space ✔️ Fully digital check-in ✔️Underground parking ✔️Yummy breakfast with a view
The cycling peloton is fast. Our check-in is faster. ;)

The Earth is having a birthday. We got her actual data instead of flowers. 🌱 73.57% of our team works fully remote. And when people do come together, they share space. 123 sqm per person to live, work, and occasionally fight over the last coffee. Down from 266 sqm in 2022. Smaller shared spaces mean less energy, less water, less of everything the planet is tired of absorbing. One kitchen instead of ten, one heating system instead of twenty separate flats.
Coliving is not a trend. It is the most logical answer to a world that forgot how to live efficiently. 45 nationalities under one roof. Smaller footprint, stronger community. Simple math, really. 🌍
Electricity is down 15% in 2025 as well. Waste down too. Turns out you can grow a business without growing the mess. We cannot fix what we do not track. So we track everything we thought of. And then we tell you about it. Full data in our 2025 Transparency Report. Link in stories. 🔗

Guess what just hit zero? Our median gender pay gap. 🎉 The EU average gender pay gap sits at 11.1%. Ours is 5%. Not bad for a nation without a country. It is not about equal pay for equal work. We have that. It is about who ends up in which chair. Still working on the seating plan.

Our average hourly pay for men is 15.24 EUR. For women 14.46 EUR. The company average is 14.98 EUR. The difference you see is composition, not discrimination. Female representation in our top pay quartile went from 16.4% last year to 24.1% this year. Slow. But moving. ✌🏻
Who runs the world? Girls... but not just yet. We are working on it. Full data in our 2025 Transparency Report. Link in stories.

Epstein had secret files. We’ve got open reports. We are simply not the same.
198 people. 45 nationalities. 40% revenue growth for the third year running. 73.57% working fully remotely, because talent doesn’t care about time zones and neither do we. A mean gender pay gap at 5%, down from last year, we’re honest about it. We’re working on it too. 123 sqm to live, work, and occasionally argue about whose turn it is to do the dishes.
And then the 71% staff turnover. Yep, we said it out loud. With full context, because that’s the point.
Three years of publishing everything. The wins, the chaos, the spreadsheets that made us question our life choices.
We asked our people what these numbers sparked in them. Top answer: progress. Runner up: interesting. Nobody said boring, so we’re calling that a win.
No filters. No redactions. The WorkNomads 2025 Transparency Report is live. Link in stories.

April breathes new life into Sofia. 🌱
Scarves get swapped for sunglasses, sweet Easter bread gives way to metal riffs, and somehow you find yourself deep in a Harry Potter trivia debate at a bar.
The month has a way of pulling you in - wine tastings, late-night dancing, art worth arguing about, and a rare truce between Millennials and Gen Z on the dance floor. If only the calendar would just... pause. 😮‍💨

It won’t. But the good news is that as the temperatures climb, so does the city’s energy. Here’s your cheat sheet for the month - scroll through, pick your thing, drag your friends out of hibernation, and make them thank you later. ☀️🍹

We did not expect to say this. But thanks, Trump. 🤭
Fewer cars. Cleaner air. Two hours a day back. Just like that. Nobody changed their mind about remote work because of the productivity studies, the wellbeing reports, or the talent retention data. They changed it at the pump. We built the right thing before the chaos made it obvious. The world caught up. You are welcome. 🤗

“Dear Mr. President of…”
Wait. Pause. Rewind. ⏪
That opening line alone tells you how deeply language has been shaped by the idea that leadership and a lot of jobs, frankly, come with a default setting: male.

Because the way we address people, write job titles, and structure professional language still quietly assumes we’re living in “a man’s man’s man’s world.”  (James Brown was right, but maybe it’s time for a remix 🎶).
That’s why inclusive language policies are gaining traction. The mission? Remove masculine-coded language from job ads and professional communication.  The theory is simple: if roles sound more welcoming to women, more women might actually apply.
And ideally… that nudges us one step closer to closing the pay gap we all somehow keep tripping into like a corporate banana peel nobody remembers putting there. 🍌
But here’s where things get even more interesting. A survey by WiPA (Women in Public Affairs) found that 56% of women working in public affairs believe taking maternity leave will harm their career progression.
Not might. Not sometimes. Will.
So here’s the uncomfortable question: Is editing a job description meaningful progress or just corporate performance art? 🎭
Because if we spend all our energy polishing job ads with inclusive wording while ignoring structural issues like pay gaps 💸, parental leave penalties, and the slow path to leadership, we’re not fixing the system.
We’re just decorating the door to a room women still struggle to enter.
And that’s not inclusion.

Right now, saying ‘Happy International Women’s Day’ sounds a lot like: “Here’s a pink cupcake, now please don’t mention the 12% pay gap.” And frankly? That’s just not good enough. 🙄
