After going away to pray, we now hear of Jesus walking on the water ๐ŸŒŠ to His disciples, while they struggled against strong winds in the boat .

At first, the disciples were terrified, thinking they had seen a ghost, but Jesus reassured them, saying,

Peter responded with faith by asking Jesus to command him to come onto the water. As long as Peter kept his focus on Jesus, he walked on the water, but when he noticed the wind, he became afraid and began to sink. Jesus immediately reached out His hand, saved him, and gently questioned his faith. When they entered the boat, the wind ceased, revealing Jesusโ€™ authority over nature. The disciples responded by worshipping Him, declaring,

This passage teaches us to trust Christ completely, keep our eyes fixed on Him during life's storms, and recognise His divine power and identity.

Matthew 14:23 shows Jesus withdrawing from the crowds to spend time alone in prayer ๐Ÿ›.

This verse highlights the importance Jesus placed on personal communion with God. Although He had just performed the miracle of feeding the five thousand ๐Ÿฆˆ๐Ÿซ“, and was surrounded by people who wanted His attention, He chose solitude and prayer.

The mountain represents a place of quietness and closeness to God, away from distractions. Jesusโ€™ example teaches us that spiritual strength comes from regular private prayer, especially after busy or demanding moments. It also reveals His humanity - He needed rest and fellowship with the Father.

Overall, this verse encourages us to seek intentional time alone with God for guidance, renewal, and deeper relationship with Him.

After hearing about the death of John the Baptist, Jesus withdrew to a quiet place, but large crowds followed Him. Instead of turning them away, He had compassion on them and healed the sick. As evening came, the disciples wanted to send the people away to buy food. However, Jesus told them to feed the crowd.

They only had five loaves ๐Ÿซ“๐Ÿซ“๐Ÿซ“๐Ÿซ“๐Ÿซ“of bread and two fish๐Ÿฆˆ๐Ÿฆˆ. Jesus took the food, gave thanks to God, broke the bread, and gave it to the disciples to distribute.

Miraculously, everyone ate and was satisfied, and twelve baskets of leftovers were collected. This miracle shows Jesus' compassion, power, and ability to provide for every need. It also teaches the importance of trusting God, sharing what we have, and believing that He can multiply even small gifts to accomplish great things for His people.
