Invitation to a DREAM project event
Danube River Environmental Assessment and Monitoring Project (DREAM).
Improving nature conservation and sustainable innovation

Dear all,

We are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the completed and equipped system, a result of the Danube River Environmental Assessment and Monitoring Project (DREAM) on 17.06.2026 in Building 2, Hall 2G-204 (SIMENS Hall) of the University of Ruse "A. Kanchev", address: Ruse 7017, 8 "Studentska" Str., with the support of Interreg VI-A Romania - Bulgaria.
The DREAM project aims to monitor and assess environmental problems along the Danube River in the Ruse/Giurgevo-Silistra/Călăraş region, using state-of-the-art monitoring technologies such as UAVs and zero-emission vessel. The project aims to provide accurate, real-time information on air and water quality, noise pollution and other critical aspects to facilitate timely environmental interventions, promote cross-border cooperation and set an example for sustainable river management practices.
Your presence and participation will contribute to our mission for a healthier Danube and a more environmentally sustainable future.

🚀 Great news from the DREAM Project! The DREYE UAV is ready for action!

We’re happy to share that the testing phase of the DREYE UAV has been successfully completed. After a series of flight trials and system checks, the drone is now fully functional and ready to support environmental monitoring along the Danube River.

Developed within the Interreg Romania–Bulgaria Programme, the UAV proved the reliability of its integrated air quality monitoring system and night-vision camera, enabling monitoring activities both during the day and at night.

The next step will focus on joint field activities, bringing together the UAV and the project’s monitoring vessel to operate as part of the same environmental observation system along the Danube.

Stay tuned as the DREAM Project moves into the next phase of operations and data collection for a cleaner and healthier cross-border environment! 🌍✈️

More great news from the DREAM project!!!
We had visited the shipyard last week and was amazed what we saw!!!
Our ship is almost ready!!!
A large vessel that has everything thought of - a large platform for drones, PV panels and last but not least - the rudder!!! Still working on putting up all together, but hopefully we will show you very soon what it looks like on the water.

🚀 Great News from the DREAM Project!
We’re excited to announce that the testing phase of our second drone, the DREYE UAV, is now underway! 🎉
Developed within the Interreg Romania–Bulgaria Programme, this advanced UAV will play an important role in monitoring the Danube River and supporting a cleaner and healthier cross-border environment. Equipped with a complex air quality monitoring system and a night-vision camera, the DREYE UAV will be able to track air quality along the Danube both day and night, with camera trials and several other system checks planned as part of the ongoing testing phase.
We’re looking forward to sharing the results as the DREYE UAV continues to take shape! 🌍💙

Danube River Environmental Assessment and Monitoring (DREAM) Project, born from the desire to protect the environment, is moving to the next important stage of development.
Over the last months, with great responsibility, the acquisition of all subassemblies of the electric propulsion, as well as other electrical utilities necessary for the boat dedicated to the system for evaluating and monitoring environmental factors on the Danube River was completed.
The system which will significantly contribute to identifying environmental problems along the Danube River in the Ruse/Giurgiu - Silistra/Calarasi region, was designed with environmental care.
After assembling the entire system, we will be moving on to the in-situ testing stage in the near future.

Cu prilejul celebrării Zilei Naționale a României, 1 Decembrie, avem onoarea de a comunica atingerea unuia dintre obiectivele esențiale ale proiectului DREAM, finanțat prin programul Interreg România-Bulgaria.
Confirmăm finalizarea cu succes a testelor de validare operațională a UAV-ului ("Unmanned Aerial Vehicle") DRADAR. Sistemul a fost dezvoltat de către cercetătorii români din cadrul Institutului Național de Cercetare-Dezvoltare Turbomotoare COMOTI.
În urma parcurgerii integrale a etapelor de testare și a validării parametrilor de performanță, aeronava DRADAR a obținut calificarea necesară pentru implementarea operațională.
Acest succes remarcabil atestă capacitatea de excelență în inovare a echipei din România și evidențiază, totodată, eficiența și puterea parteneriatului bilateral cu Bulgaria. Prin eforturi comune, contribuim la dezvoltarea tehnologică și la securitatea regională.
