Brief description:
The project "YES - Youth European Synergy!" aims at promoting youth activity, volunteering and the benefits of combining the efforts and creative potential of young people with the experience of the older for the implementation of common objectives that lead to positive changes at local, national and international / European level. At the beginning of the project the young people will learn about the culture and the music of the countries participating in the project, they will exchange experience, improve their musical skills and will get a task, during the creative workshops, to create lyrics, music and an arrangement for a new song by including in it messages about youth activity and volunteering. At the end of the exchange, the young musicians will perform to an audience in a live concert the new song which will be promoted throughout Europe by the participants and the partner organizations of the project. During the exchange, participants will develop skills in working in international teams and in performing in front of an audience, they will improve their musical skills, performance and creative skills, they will form new partnerships and friendships, will build up a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity, continuity and tolerance towards adults, the different and the differences by learning through experience, exchange of experience and methods of non-formal education. All this will act as an impetus and support for developing their initiative and creativity, it will strengthen their confidence, self-esteem and ambition for a successful professional realization and development, especially for those who are studying music and wish to improve as musicians. In the project, which will be implemented in Sandanski, 48 youths and 8 leaders from Bulgaria, Great Britain, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Malta, Romania and Turkey will take part. The "YES" exchange is going to start on the 8th of September 2012, util the 17th of September 2012. Each one of the organisations will be composed of 6 young people on the age of 18 to 25 (musicians or music band, to contemporary music) + 1 group leader on the same age limit. The main working language on the project will be English! The youth exchange will take place in Sandanski, Bulgaria. Popular international all-year resort with wonderful climate, rich nature and healing spa springs.It's located at 160 km distance to the south from the capital of Sofia.

Проект "Да - Младежка европейска синергия!" има за цел да популяризира младежката активност, доброволчеството и ползата от обединяване на усилията и творческия потенциал на младите хора и опита на по-възрастните за осъществяване на общи цели, които водят до положителни промени на местно, национално и международно/ Европейско ниво.
В началото на проекта младежите ще се запознаят с културата и музиката на страните, от които са участниците в проекта, ще обменят опит помежду си, ще подобрят музикалните си умения, в майсторски класове, ръководени от утвърдени български музиканти и ще получат задача, по време на творчески ателиета да създадът текст, музика и аранжимент на нова песен, като включат в новата творба послания за младежка активност и доброволчество. В края на обмена младите музиканти ще изпълнят, в концерт на живо, пред публика новата песен, която ще бъде популяризирана в цяла Европа от участниците и партньорските организации по проекта. По време на обмена участниците ще формират умения за работа в международни екип и представяне пред публика, ще подобрят музикалните си, сценични и творчески умения, ще създадат нови партньорства и приятелства, ще изградят чувство за активно европейско гражданство, солидарност, приемственост и толерантност към възрастните, различните и различията, посредством учене чрез преживяване, обмен на опит и методите на неформалното образование. Всичко това ще даде тласък и подкрепа за развитие на инициативността и креативността им, ще укрепи тяхната увереност, самочувствие и амбиция за успешна професионална реализация и развитие.
В проектът, който ще се реализира в гр. Сандански ще участват 48 младежи и 8 лидери от България, Великобритания, Естония, Италия, Лавия, Малта, Румъния и Турция. PROJECT
YES – Youth European Solidarity! 2010
The project "YES - Youth European Solidarity!" aims at promoting solidarity between generations, raising awareness of the problems of poverty and building tolerance regarding cultural differences at local, national and international / European levels. Thanks to this project, we wanted to create the favourable conditions that will reinforce the understanding between people: through their creative activities based on contemporary music and their combination with traditional music, young people developed the qualities and skills that not only contributed to their own development and growth, but also contributed to:
- Solidarity and understanding between generations;
- Intercultural awareness and acceptance of cultural differences;
- Encouragement and promotion of European values such as tolerance and solidarity, fight against racism and xenophobia;
- Active participation of young people in the fight against poverty and for social inclusion, because Europe needs the potential of all its citizens and especially the potential and talent of its young people. At the beginning of the project, young people learned about the cultures and traditional musics of all countries from which the participants in the project came. Then they received the following task during creative workshops: each group had to make a new arrangement of his song that included new elements coming from traditional music from another country represented in the project. At the end of the exchange, musical groups presented their creation to the audience in live during a concert. They also prepared together and performed a new common version of a worldwide hit against poverty, as a strong message that everyone has to contribute to the welfare of the citizens from their locality, from their country and from Europe as a whole. During the final concert, audio and video recordings had been made and later released on DVD and distributed throughout Europe by the project participants and by other partner organizations. Last but not least, during the exchange, participants shared experiences, created new friendships and partnerships and promoted the message of the European Year against poverty and social exclusion.
50 young people and 10 leaders from 7 Programme and Neighbors countries partners participated in this project, in the town of Sandanski, Bulgaria. Some of the project activities took place during the 15th edition of Balkan Youth Festival “The Balkan Youth” (from September 8th to 13th, www.myspace.com/byfestival). The participants in the “YES – Youth European Solidarity” project presented their creative performances in front of more than 1500 people and of the participants of the BYF. They, together with other young people from the other activities of the BYF took part in the opening festival procession (08th Sep.), the Balkan Youth Party (09th Sep), the cultural visits of historical sites and the sports day (10en Sep.) YES - Youth European Soundtrack! 2009
Through the “YES – Youth European Soundtrack!” project, the promotion of short films was combined with the creation of musical compositions by young people. At the beginning of the project, ten films produced by young filmmakers were presented to the groups. The participants discussed the films and then each musical band chose a film on which was writen a soundtrack. At the end of the exchange, all the participants played their music in front of the public. The project also included making a short film, a photo album and an Internet blog about the exchange; the participants learned more about each other and promoted the European Year of Creativity and Innovation. The whole project was aimed at increasing the motivation and the ability of young people to take initiatives. The YES project took place in the town of Sandanski (Bulgaria) and involved 58 young people and 10 leaders from Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Greece, Turkey, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, and Croatia. Some of the project activities happened during the 14th edition of the Balkan Youth Festival “The Balkan Youth” (from September 9th to September 14th).
