Fundraising Team for the rescue and rehoming of dogs and cats in the North Central region of Bulgaria. Education and neuturing are our main areas of focus.

Team Paws BG is a fundraising team independent of any particular charity. The aim of the organisation is to offer fundraising and marketing initiatives where needed and to raise our own funds which we can distribute accordingly. Whilst supporting various rescue centers and/or foster homes, we want to allow small businesses a chance to sell goods through us, with a small percentage going to our funds. Here are the calendars available this year , 5 designs, they are 2.75 euro and will be sent via econt or meeting places are polski trambesh, veliko tarnovo and pavlikeni, beginning of December.
All monies will go towards paws Mutts & moggies the recue dogs and cats in our care .

Here is a well overdue update on things that have happened over the last few months, so sorry for not posting but we have e been busy with one thing or another and time just runs away.

First up kittens
This year seems to be mad with kittens and new additions due to your husband feeding street cats and local cats when they rock up and never leave.
We have had a few adult cats and kittens in our care (adults now neutered, kittens all ages are due to go when old enough) and 3 in the picture below go to their new home today where I know they will be cared for and loved.
Now little Finley the ginger kitten has really fallen on his feet as you can see and fits in well with the dogs he lives with and is well spoilt and we still get to see him, thank you 😊.

Next as some may remember several years back we took in 17 dogs from a lady who had sadly passed away.
A couple of weeks ago Shandy the shaggy dog in the picture went over the rainbow bridge to join her siblings she was 16 years old so a good age for a larger dog.

Now some of you may know I have been helping our old Bulgarian neighbour at our old village, now to be fair she did come and ask for help, so I have helped but it did split me in 2.
The poor puppy about 3/4 months old had a raw patch straight down its backbone, it looked like it had been skinned, but was an infection and flea problem , so after speaking to the vet and getting medication ,everyday I we have been going and spraying and feeding the puppy.
There are other issues I am not happy with ( those that know know and I am still working on it) but for now his back has healed, he has had flea,tick and worm treatment and being fed regularly.
So for now I just have to watch and see how he goes but keeping a close eye on him.

We are still carbooting as long as the weather holds and will be at Hotnitsa in october.

I will be selling the calendars again this year I will bring back from the uk in November, monies go towards food and I will doing the Christmas dinner for all the dogs and now cats this year🤣

Firstly I would like to apologise for not posting for a while, I have been away for a few months looking after a friends animals while the have been away, but we have still been a little active in this time .
Here is a little update.

2 days before New year I was asked to help with 6 puppies but unfortunately I was unable to take all 6 so I agreed to take 1, 1 is better than none. But on arriving the 1 turned to 2 so the first picture shows Lenny (black) and Goose.
Goose has been lucky enough to be adopted by a lovely couple in the next village, although they haven't moved over fully yet he still goes off on his little holidays when they are here. He must think it is a 5 star retreat with the piece and quiet🤣 ,so thank you Serena Hainsworth for adopting him and for his upkeep each month x
Lenny is available for adoption and is a lovely playful boy.

Next , while driving to collect some donations in the new year 2 little puppies where in the road in the village I was collecting from and with snow and cold weather I felt a bit like Mary with no room at the inn but anyone who knows me knows I couldn't have left them.
The lady who I was collecting from kindly paid for their first jabs, food and worm and flea treatment.
So I then took them home to hubby as I was still away.
They are called Crumpet (black and white female) and Rupert (male)
The picture shows them when they arrived they are a bit bigger now but won't be big dogs.
These are both looking for a home.

As you know last year we took in 3 kittens , this week Flo has been neutered and the next 2 due to go next.
Now where we have moved to has quite a few cats to say the least and I am sure some are stray so I am hoping to get some of these neutered as when its feeding time outside they all seem to show up.
Currently 4 small kittens have appeared with 3 other cats , still unsure who the mother is but the adults will be on the list if we can catch them.
The kittens 2 are very hissy and scratchy and 2 are coming round.
So if anyone is looking for a kitten please message, pics to follow.

As for all our other dogs they are still plodding on, still not the full ticket some of them (I have added some pics to make you smile)
Walter and winnie the dachshunds are continously on cat watch🤣
The others are just happy that the sunshine has appeared and they can be outside.

We are currently on 26 dogs and what feels like a hundred cats we feed, so thank you everyone who sends us adonation each month, to everyone who donates items for the carboot, those that save their copper cents it really does help with the food bills.

I will shortly be doing a scratchcard as Jackie Ford has kindly donated items for this , thank you

And lastly a big massive thank you to my hubby Simon Hutchinson who holds the fort when I am away and I know several of the dogs can be grumpy when I am not there ( not enough treats), without him I would be lost .

Sadly, we said our final goodbyes to Betty last night😥

Jules had only gone shopping to Lidl in 2023 and came back with her in the car! She was another abused ex hunting dog, likely used to breed from for the bulk of her life, She had quite severe hip dysplasia as a result, so not rehomable though her hip problems, were amongst other issues she had.

But Betty discovered quite quickly after she arrived that she absolutely had to have even the briefest of cuddles, every single day, otherwise it felt like her world was going to end. Sometimes if I was busy and forgot, she would be unsettled and follow me about, till I realised the error of my ways. So last night she had her final kiss and the hugest cuddle for being the bestest girl ever, before going over the bridge, before her pain got to bad.

So give your pooches a big hug, it does mean the world to them and you are their world💔

Here are the pictures of this morning festive dinner, it was a bit manic getting them all down and getting pictures, a few are missing (including 2 in long term foster with friends) but we managed to get most, even the 3 rescue kittens and the cat who we brought over after we moved as she'd been attacked, but she's still sticking around.

Several eat theirs placed in a bed so it doesn't slide around the floor and know it's their safe feeding place, some aren't bothered where they have it along as they get it!

Preparation has begun the first of 3 batches to be made today, as I am away for Christmas this year the doggies Christmas dinner will be tomorrow ❤️
So first lot of veg done and cooked 2nd lot is already on the just one more lot.
First lot of Chickens in the slow cooker, which will generate plenty of stock as their gravy.
