This is Wanda the day after she was rescued—she was skin and bones! Would you like to see her current look? I’ll share new photos of her tomorrow. Kangals are very special and also quite expensive to care for. I believe AJ is an angel because she took Wanda and Scooby from the street, aware of the high vet and food costs.

We planned to build a catio for the cats in spring so they could enjoy the outdoors and socialize. However, we are currently struggling to meet our basic needs for food and medication, which makes us unsure if we can follow through with this plan. We know Lucy may not be the easiest dog to rehome, but she is very loved and very safe. Of course, we’d be over the moon if a special home ever came along for her, but until then, she’s family. If you think you could take this beautiful lady into your home and give her all the love she needs, please send us a message. We can assist with all the necessary arrangements to get Lucy over to the UK or possibly any other European country.

This is Lucy last October with the other volunteer- Dominika, whose posts you may have seen here before. Lucy was loving her princess treatment!

Lucy is now around 9-10 years old and has been with us for many years. She lives happily alongside the other dogs and has a way of becoming everyone’s favourite without even trying.
She does have nephritis, so she needs a special diet and daily meds, it's just part of keeping her comfortable and well.

After Lucy was taken off the streets, she was brought to a neuter clinic, and that’s how she found her way to Playing with the Wind.
In February 2019, she joined our rescue, and very quickly settled in as if she’d always belonged here. Ever since, she has always loved naps with her buddies.

This is Lucy 🐾
A paraplegic lady with the softest eyes and the calmest nature. She was found on the streets of one of Bulgaria’s big cities, and even after everything she’s been through, she’s still gentle, trusting, and quietly charming.
