Enitsa, Veselina and Vasil represented CEGE Association in the Erasmus+ training course "Make It Matter: Power of Youth in Action" in Slovakia 🇸🇰

Over seven inspiring days, they explored democratic participation, active citizenship, European values, and innovative ways to engage young people in decision-making processes. Through workshops, debates, intercultural activities, and teamwork, they gained new knowledge, practical tools, and valuable international connections.

Beyond the learning experience, the project created unforgettable memories, meaningful conversations, and friendships that will continue long after the training has ended.

Last week, Radoslav from CEGE Association, took part in the panel discussion “The Role, Vision, Mission and Goals of Organizations Working ‘With’ and ‘For’ Young People in the Context of EU Youth Policies and the Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps Initiatives.”, part of the conference “Youth Empowerment through EU Policies and Programmes Implemented at Local and National Level”, which took place at International Youth Centre - Pernik

The event brought together young people, youth workers, and organizations active in the youth sector to exchange perspectives on participation, opportunities, and the role of youth organizations at local and national level.

During the panel, different experiences and ideas were shared on how initiatives such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps can support young people in becoming more active, connected, and engaged in their communities.

На 26 април се събрахме за „Erasmus+ – Gen Z в действие“ – събитие, което събра млади хора, идеи и реални възможности.

Представихме къде и как могат да търсят възможности не само да участват в проекти, а те да са двигателя на такива значими инициативи.

Говорихме за това какво всъщност стои зад Erasmus+ – не само пътувания и преживявания, а умения, които имат значение: адаптивност, комуникация, инициатива и осъзнатост.

Заедно с нашите партньори от ValueMe обсъдихме нещо ключово:
👉 как да разпознаваш уменията, които придобиваш
👉 как да ги показваш
👉 и как да ги превръщаш в реална стойност

Събитието събра хора, които не просто искат да участват, а да се развиват съзнателно.

Artificial Intelligence is already shaping youth work — and we explored it firsthand in Kaunas, Lithuania.

During the training course “Youth Work in the AI Era”, youth workers from across Europe dived into AI tools, ethical dilemmas, fake content detection, prompt strategies, and practical ways to integrate AI into youth activities. The week was filled with hands-on sessions, intercultural exchange, new ideas, and honest reflections about both the opportunities and challenges of AI in youth work.

New skills, new perspectives, and new connections — all in one intense learning experience.

Training Course for Youth Workers: “Youth Work in the AI Era”

As digital technologies and artificial intelligence rapidly transform our societies, youth workers face both new opportunities and new ethical challenges. Youth Work in the AI Era is an international training course designed to bridge the AI knowledge gap by equipping youth workers with practical skills, critical thinking, and ethical awareness to use AI responsibly in their daily work. The project promotes a human-centered approach, ensuring that technology supports – not replaces – personal engagement in youth work, while addressing digital literacy disparities and risks such as bias, misinformation, and dehumanization.

Participating Countries: Lithuania, North Macedonia, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Spain

Dates: March 16–25, 2026

Project goals:
✔️ Develop AI literacy among youth workers through hands-on training and practical methodologies.
✔️ Raise awareness of ethical issues related to AI use in youth work and non-formal education.
✔️ Provide concrete strategies for integrating AI tools while maintaining human values and inclusion.
