What does €29 million look like when we translate it from the language of programmes into the language of people?
It looks like better protection from wildfires and floods. Like restored places with a story to tell. Like new routes, cleaner waters, and people on both sides of the border who have learned how to work together.
More than 110 projects under Interreg Bulgaria–Türkiye 2014–2020 left behind much more than completed activities and reported indicators. They left partnerships, experience and a strong foundation that we continue to build on today.
Because a border may divide countries. But nature, history and good ideas rarely respect it.
