Animal Action Bulgaria Giving Neglected Animals in Bulgaria a Future There are animal rescue centres all over the world. I wish they were not necessary, but they are.

Here in our region of Gabrovo many horses, dogs, and cats become neglected. Animal Action Bulgaria has been set up as a safety net for these animals. We do our best for each and every animal that comes our way.

My recent activity on my personal Facebook seems to have generated many views on this page. I feel i need to clarify for new viewers that i no longer operate this charity and no longer live in Bulgaria, but am happy receiving messages and will help/advise when i can, but i cannot take even the most desperate animals and my heart breaks to have to say so.

From the wonderful couple who are trustees of Animal Action Bulgaria, here is our official closure of Animal Action Bulgaria. Geoff and MarieLuise, who originated the idea in fact, when they saw I was struggling to care for the animals I had rescued, and started the whole charity for me to be able to continue, and survive. Through these years they have supported with such loving kindness, advice, support, for me as well as for the animals.....without them these years would not have been possible, these lives would not have been saved. They even adopted not one but two rescued doggies from me!

So with such a grateful heart I thank Geoff Hart and Marie-Luise Hart along with all of you who have supported our efforts, your kind donations of funds and equipment, food, toys for the animals, even blankets and towels, have helped us rescue and nurture. Your words of encouragement, sharing the heartache at the inevitable losses and failures, sharing the joy at the triumphs when a battle is won and a life is saved or an injury healed, when a feral cat is neutered, when an uphill struggle is completed successfully. Thank you all for everything, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for helping me to keep going ❤️

And now I have moved to pastures new, and will post more info on this new project in a few days.
