🌍 Talent exists everywhere. Opportunities don't always do.

Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, young people facing discrimination and those with fewer opportunities can face additional barriers when entering education, training and employment.

SKIF – Skills for the Future puts inclusion and diversity at the heart of its work.

The project promotes:

🤝 equality and respect
🌍 understanding of differences
💬 inclusion and participation
💡 equal access to learning opportunities
🌱 confidence, independence and initiative

The aim is not to make everyone the same.

It is to create conditions where different young people can develop their strengths and participate on an equal footing.

Because a young person's future should not be determined by the barriers they happened to face.

Young people don't develop their skills alone.

Behind effective youth support are trainers, educators, youth workers, social workers, psychologists, career consultants and other professionals who create opportunities for learning and growth.

That's why SKIF doesn't focus only on young people.

The project also supports the professionals working with them.

Through transnational learning, training and practical resources, professionals can strengthen their ability to:

• deliver employability skills training
• create more inclusive learning environments
• understand the needs of young people with fewer opportunities
• apply practices based on inclusion and diversity
• provide effective educational and career support

When professionals have better tools, young people can receive better support.

Investing in youth means investing in the people who work alongside them, too.

❗There is a gap between what young people learn and what the labour market needs.

This skills mismatch can make the transition from education to employment challenging — particularly for young people who already face barriers or have fewer opportunities.

SKIF addresses this challenge by connecting learning with real-world employability.

The project develops training around the skills young people need today and tomorrow, while also helping them:

• recognise their strengths and talents
• understand their career aspirations
• build confidence and independence
• develop practical employability skills
• discover opportunities for volunteering, traineeships and international experiences

Because preparing for employment shouldn't start only when someone gets their first job.

It starts with giving young people the right opportunities to learn, explore and grow.

🧠 Can you think critically and make informed decisions?

These are not “extra” skills. They are essential skills for education, employment and everyday life.

SKIF – Skills for the Future focuses on helping young people aged 16–30 strengthen the abilities that employers and communities increasingly need.

Through practical, non-formal learning, young people can build communication, leadership, teamwork, collaboration, creativity and critical-thinking skills.

The goal is simple: help young people feel more prepared, confident and capable of shaping their future.

🎓 A diploma opens a door. But what helps a young person walk through it?

Today’s labour market increasingly requires more than formal qualifications. Young people also need to know how to communicate, collaborate, solve problems, think critically, take initiative and adapt to change.

Yet not everyone has the same opportunities to develop these skills.

SKIF – Skills for the Future works to bridge this gap by helping young people aged 16–30 develop the soft and employability skills they need to build their future.

Through non-formal education, coaching, mentoring and practical learning, SKIF connects learning with the realities of the world of work.

Because every young person deserves the chance to discover their strengths and use them with confidence.

🌟 Highlights from the SKIF – Skills for Future Youth Employability Dissemination Event!

What a fantastic day of sharing, learning and connecting with educators, young people and community leaders!

The event was a great opportunity to reflect on the SKIF project journey, share its achievements and look ahead at how its results can continue to support young people and youth organisations.

During the event, we had the opportunity to:

🔹 share the project’s activities, learning outcomes and results
🔹 hear directly from young people about their experiences of the training
🔹 showcase approaches and resources developed through SKIF
🔹 discuss the importance of soft skills in strengthening young people’s employability
🔹 explore how the project’s learning and resources can continue to be used locally

One of the most inspiring parts of the day was hearing participants speak about their experiences and seeing how developing **confidence, soft skills and employability skills** can make a meaningful difference in young people’s personal and professional development.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, contributed and supported the event! 👏

We hope that the knowledge, tools and soft skills developed through SKIF will continue to create opportunities for young people and remain a valuable resource for youth organisations in the years ahead.

Together, we can help young people build the skills and confidence they need for their future.

📚🌟 Тази седмица дейностите по проект „Утвърждаване на интеркултурното образование чрез култура, наука и спорт в Община Долна Митрополия“ продължиха и в ДГ „Вълчо Иванов“ – с. Ставерци!

👧👦 В рамките на Дейност 1 – Работа с деца и ученици за осъществяване на интеркултурно образование в мултикултурна среда, се проведоха занимания в клуб „Любознайко“, където децата учиха, играха и откриваха света около себе си по интересен и забавен начин.

🎲 Чрез разнообразни образователни игри, творчески задачи и интерактивни упражнения участниците развиваха своите познавателни, комуникационни и социални умения. Като част от дейностите беше приложен и методът MathRiders, който съчетава учене чрез игра, движение и активно участие. По този начин децата развиваха логическото си мислене, концентрацията и увереността си, докато се забавляват и учат заедно.

🤝 Особено внимание беше отделено на изграждането на умения за общуване, взаимно уважение и приемане на различията. В приятелска и подкрепяща среда децата имаха възможност да изразяват себе си свободно, да се учат едни от други и да развиват увереност в собствените си способности.

🌈 Клуб „Любознайко“ създава възможности за учене чрез преживяване и игра – подход, който не само прави обучението по-интересно, но и подпомага социалното и емоционалното развитие на децата още от най-ранна възраст.

💡 Подобни дейности са важна част от усилията за изграждане на приобщаваща образователна среда, в която всяко дете се чувства прието, подкрепено и мотивирано да развива своя потенциал.

🌟 Чрез проекта продължаваме да създаваме възможности за учене, общуване и развитие, като насърчаваме ценностите на толерантността, уважението и сътрудничеството още от ранна детска възраст.
