📌On the 15th of May, the final GOALBALL conference was held in Sakarya, Turkey!

🎙️Throughout the conference, the partners from Courage Foundation🇧🇬 Kargenc Kulubu🇹🇷 Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı🇹🇷 Регионален център-Бургас 🇧🇬 had the chance to:

👉 finalise the project by sharing lessons learnt,
👉offering ways to provide inclusion through sport
👉the importance of promoting GOALBALL as a sport that not only includes, but also develops life skills, physical and mental health

🏐And of course, we finished by playing GOALBALL 🏐

🎓⚽ Final Conference of *GOALBALL FOR INCLUSION* Project in Türkiye! 🇪🇺🇹🇷

We are excited to announce that the Final Conference of Project No. 101134127 – GOALBALL FOR INCLUSION, funded by the Erasmus+ Sport 2023-SSCP programme, will take place on May 15, 2025, in Türkiye!

🌍 The event will bring together partners from Bulgaria and Türkiye to share the project’s results, experiences, and good practices in using goalball as a tool for inclusion.

🎯 A special focus will be placed on the presentation and practical experience of Goalball – featuring an interactive session with university students from sports faculties, where they will both learn and play the sport.

🎤 Participants will have the opportunity to:

* Present their local project activities;
* Learn more about the psychological and social benefits of Goalball;
* Take part in a hands-on goalball session;
* Share feedback and impressions;
* Receive certificates of participation.

If you want to feel in the shoes, No! in the darkness of people with visual impairment, try GOALBALL!
Teams from Turkey and Bulgaria took part in the tournament, organized by the Burgas Regional Center for Support of Inclusive Education and the Courage Foundation, dedicated to December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The tournament was organized with the support of the Erasmus Sport program.
Goalball is a sport for people with visual impairments, created in 1946 to help with the recovery of wounded veterans after World War II. Today it is one of the most popular team sports at the Paralympic Games.
Goalball ⚽️ is played by people with visual impairments, but not only! Players use masks that cover their eyes so that everyone is equal and a special ball with bells
Silence reigned in the hall with the numerous audience, including representatives of the Burgas regional government, Burgas municipality, Burgas RIO, dance and sports groups from the city, parents and students. The audience fell silent not only to allow the players to hear the only clue as to where the ball was – the bells, but also to give them well-deserved recognition for their exceptionally high fighting spirit.
