🧭🌿 What happens when youth workers reconnect with nature to rethink sustainability? 🌿🧭

This is Green Compass — an Erasmus+ training course for youth workers, hosted in Bansko, Bulgaria, at the foothills of the Pirin Mountains.

Over 7 immersive days, 24 youth workers from 8 European countries came together to explore the European Sustainability Competence Framework (GreenComp) and learn how to bring sustainability into everyday youth work — in meaningful, practical, and inspiring ways.

Green Compass 🧭 empowered youth workers to reconnect with nature, explore sustainability values, strengthen critical thinking, and gain tools to inspire young people toward collective environmental responsibility and long-term change.

A whole week in Rapatac Sandviken full of learning and knowledge exchange just past.

30 youth workers from different corners of Europe got together to learn and exchange experiences.

The activity center of our host organization called Rapatac was our home and a place where young people's lives are changes every day.

We were blessed with the opportunity to visit the university in Gävle, where we had the chance ti meet and work with the students studying international social work.

We are very grateful for being part of the EmpowerYouth Forum in Sandviken and are looking forward into bridging home a lot of the learning from there.

Thank you to everyone that participated and made this activity unique and unforgettable.
