Contrary to popular belief, joining a community does not require becoming an extrovert!
A lot of our strongest community members are actually introverts.
People assume community means being outgoing, being the centre of attention, working the room and talking to everyone. Absolutely not!
Some of the deepest friendships I’ve seen start because two people happened to sit next to each other for a few weeks or bonded over a book or a Netflix series.
Some exchanged exactly three words before becoming inseparable.
Community isn’t about becoming someone you’re not, it’s about finding people you can be yourself around.
And if “yourself” occasionally needs to disappear and recharge alone for a few hours…then trust me, we get it!
