𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘇𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼
The high-level event titled “Mobilising Civil Society, Philanthropies, and the Diaspora to Increase Development Financing for Africa in a Fragmented World” is currently taking place in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, as part of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank Group.
𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶, Chair of Political and Technical Affairs of the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA), Executive Director of the African Coalition for Sustainable Energy and Access (ACSEA), and Chair of the Coalition Bank CSO for Climate and Energy, is participating in this important dialogue as a leading African civil society voice on climate justice, sustainable development, and equitable financing for Africa.
During the session, he will intervene on the endorsement and operationalisation of the 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗡𝗔𝗙𝗔𝗗), highlighting the urgent need for a financing system that reflects African priorities, realities, and long-term development aspirations.
His contribution is expected to emphasize the importance of strengthening partnerships between governments, civil society organisations, philanthropic institutions, and the African diaspora to support sustainable development, climate resilience, energy access, and inclusive economic transformation across the continent.
The dialogue also serves as an important platform to reinforce 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, accountability, citizen engagement, and African-led solutions capable of transforming development financing in Africa.
Through his participation, Dr. Njamnshi continues to amplify the voice of African civil society in major continental and global discussions on development, climate action, and financial governance.
