UN Tourism and the TUI Care Foundation unveil the first projects under the Tourism for Rural Development Small Grants Initiative.

From 141 applications, five projects move forward:
Mozambique 🇲🇿 Voices and Colors of Gorongosa — Associação Dos Deficientes Moçambicanos (ADEMO)
Namibia 🇳🇦 Traditions in Bwabwata National Park — Namibia Development Foundation Trust
Rwanda🇷🇼 Creative Tourism and Employment for Artists in Musanze — Red Rocks Initiative for Sustainable Development
Rwanda🇷🇼 Enhancing Rural Tourism Capacity in Busaga — Nature Rwanda
Tanzania 🇹🇿 Maasai Cultural Programme in Kiteto — KINNAPA Development Programme

These projects champion Inclusion. Culture. Opportunity.

This is tourism working for rural development.

For over three decades, he served with integrity and strength, championing tourism and helping guide our transformation into a UN Specialized Agency in 2003.
