These photographs and this video were captured on 9 August 2026, during the final activity of the mobility held in Poland, within the framework of the Plog Art EU Heroes project, an initiative developed under the Erasmus+ KA210 β Small-Scale Partnerships in Adult Education programme and co-funded by the European Union.
π€πͺπΊ The project brings together three European organisations: Fundacja Planet Heroes (Poland), Systeme in Bewegung e.V. (Germany), and MoveBE VZW (Belgium), which joined forces to promote environmental sustainability π±, social inclusion π€, active citizenship π³οΈ, and European cooperation π through the practice of plogging πββοΈβ»οΈπββοΈ.
π³πΏ During the activity in Poland, participants took part in plogging actions across green spaces and riverside areas π, collecting litter from nature ποΈ and reflecting on the environmental challenges that affect our communities. This experience combined physical activity πͺ, environmental education ππ, intercultural exchange π€π, and civic engagement π₯, reinforcing participantsβ commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
π¨β»οΈ One of the most meaningful moments of the event was the transformation of the collected waste into works of art. The materials recovered during the clean-up activities were creatively reused to produce artistic pieces carrying a strong environmental message ππ. This initiative demonstrated that items often considered rubbish can be given a new purpose through imagination, creativity, and artistic expression.
π±π The main objective was not simply to create artworks but to raise awareness about waste reduction, recycling β»οΈ, the circular economy π, and more sustainable lifestyles π. The resulting creations encourage the public to reflect on excessive consumption ποΈ and on the responsibility each of us shares in protecting our planet πβ€οΈ.
πποΈ The video also highlights the participation of Belgian multidisciplinary artist Vanparijs, member of the MoveBE VZW delegation π§πͺ. His artistic contribution played a key role in transforming the collected materials into inspiring pieces of art. Through his work, art becomes a powerful tool for communication π’, environmental awareness πΏ, and positive behavioural change πβ¨.
ππ€π The artworks symbolise the collective effort of participants from the three partner countries and demonstrate the positive impact that European cooperation can generate within local communities.
