We are proud to look back on a successful Annual General Meeting 2025 of the International Federation of Denturists (IFD), held in the historic setting of Castle Sterkenburg, the Netherlands.
Delegates from around the world came together not only to exchange ideas and strengthen international collaboration, but also to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ONT – Organisatie van Nederlandse Tandprothetici. The setting couldn’t have been more inspiring!
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, partners, and the ONT team for their warm hospitality and professionalism. Together, we continue to move our profession forward.

Urban Christen-Méndez DD, President of the International Federation of Denturists had the pleasure to ordain a new member of the Brotherhood of Sterkenburgers on the 22th of May at the 2025 AGM in The Netherlands.

We recognize the dedicated contribution of one of our own!
Urban Christen-Méndez, fellow member of the Brotherhood of Sterkenburgers, called upon all those present to witness the induction of a respected colleague into the Brotherhood of Sterkenburgers in recognition of our respect for their contributions to this profession. The privilege to receive this prestige is earned by very few!

IFD is proud to announce that the 2025 inductee into the Brotherhood of Sterkenburgers is Jamshid Zehtab-Jadid from Canada.

The Denturists Academy Program
November 28 and 29, 2024 - Rabat, Morocco
The “Denturists Academy” program was launched, a training course in denturists techniques , sterilization, first aid and psychological support, communication…organized by the Moroccan Association of denturists, framing the UNESCO training and development space, and incubated by the Chamber of Commerce and industry and services in the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region.
105 practitioners of all ages benefited from this training course for free, and they also benefited from certificates of participation.
This first version was successful from the organizational aspect and from the training aspect as well, as the participants benefited from the technical and scientific knowledge of what they were making, and this will qualify them and facilitate the process of their integration in a correct and safe manner.
As for us, as a professional association, we will be empowered to approve the certificates awarded and prepare a national roster of qualified practitioners.

On 29 November, MDTA hosted its annual Christmas event, which saw an excellent turnout as new faces joined long-standing members for a memorable evening.
During the celebration, outgoing president John Salomone Reynaud was honoured with a commemorative memento, presented by the newly-elected MDTA president, Jean Karl Demajo. This gesture recognised Salomone Reynaud’s decades-long dedication and invaluable contributions to the association.
Throughout his leadership, Salomone Reynaud not only founded the MDTA but also played a pivotal role in establishing the Dental Technology course. His relentless efforts also led to the profession’s recognition within the local Professional Body institution.
It was an emotional moment as Salomone Reynaud reflected on MDTA’s journey under his stewardship. He assured continued support for the association as he handed over responsibilities to his successor.
Attendees paid a heartfelt tribute to a man who personified the MDTA, expressing deep respect and gratitude for his unmatched commitment to advancing the profession.
