✨ Two more Belgian Champions crowned in Lier! ✨

The 2026 Belgian Dressage Championships came to a spectacular close at Azelhof, with the titles in both the Small Tour and the Senior Grand Tour now decided. 🖤💛❤️

The new (or perhaps not so new) Belgian Champion is back on top! 32 years after his last senior Belgian title, Wim Verwimp once again claimed the Grand Tour crown, this time with Jedai de Massa and a total of 216.178.

🇧🇪 Belgian Young Riders claim victory in Zuidwolde! 🏆

After yesterday’s competition was stopped following the first round due to severe thunderstorms, the Belgian Young Riders came back strong today and secured the win.

A fantastic team effort from Paris Vandousselaere, Lauranne Spits, Vic De Plecker and Jules Denutte, under the guidance of chef d’équipe Filip Lacus and Louise Ameeuw on standby!

🇧🇪 Off to Zuidwolde! 🇧🇪

This week, our youth jumping teams are heading to Zuidwolde to represent their country at the Nations Cup. We are incredibly proud of all our riders, horses, coaches and support teams, and we wish them the very best of luck in the days ahead.

And the good news has already reached us: all horses have successfully passed the vet check! ✅🐴

Now it’s time to focus, enjoy the experience, and give it everything in the arena.

This week, Belgian athletes are selected across eventing, showjumping, endurance, vaulting and driving, with strong representation at several international shows. In addition, the new Belgian dressage champions will be crowned this weekend in Lier, adding another national highlight to the calendar.

In Rome, Belgium will be represented in the prestigious CSIO5* by Emilie Conter, Gilles Thomas, Nicola Philippaerts and Thibeau Spits. The youth jumping teams are also out in force in Zuidwolde, with Belgian riders selected across Children, Junior, Pony and Young Rider Nations Cup classes.

On home soil, Belgium hosts two major international events: Bonheiden for showjumping, with a large Belgian delegation across CSI1*, CSI2* and young horse classes, and Opglabbeek for vaulting, where Belgian vaulters compete across children, junior, youth and senior CVI categories.

Beyond Belgium, the selections also include Belgian eventers competing in Bicton, Chaumont en Vexin and Ostbevern, endurance riders in Buch and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and drivers in Saumur, completing a busy international week for Team Belgium. Check out who's where on our website www.equibel.be
