SAWES is de afkorting van SAmenWErking Sevapur,
De VZW werd opgericht samen met Lea Provo in 1986. De zetel is in Wommelgem.

Samenwerking Sevapur is 1 van de 4 projecten van Sahaya-Sawes VZW (https://sahaya-sawes.org/). Dit project zamelt gelden in via peterschappen en giften vanuit België, Nederland, Frankrijk en Zwitserland om onderandere de NGO INBA SEVA SANGAM ( ISS ) die gevestigd is in Sevapur, Tamil Nadu, Zuid - India en ook opgericht werd door Lea Provo te steunen. De zetel van ISS, ook opgericht door Lea Provo,

bevindt zich in Sevapur - Tamil Nadu, Zuid-India. ISS is de afkorting voor Inba Seva Sangam. Het is de Indische NGO die Lea Provo heeft gesticht in 1968. ISS is gebaseerd op Gandhiaanse principes en de organisatie heeft de 2 dorpen, Sevapur en Vinobajipuram vanaf de eerste steen opgebouwd. Sevapur is een dorp waar kastelozen en armen uit lage kasten hun thuis gevonden hebben en een nieuwe gemeenschap vormen die ondertussen erkend is geworden door de Indische regering. Vinobajipuram is gebouwd voor de gerepatriëerde Srilankezen in 1986 op aanvraag van de Indische regering. Naar aanleiding van hevige onlusten midden de jaren
tachtig, heeft men besloten om, buiten gerepatrieerde Srilankezen ook arme Indiërs uit de omgeving te selecteren als bewoners van Vinobajipuram.

With deep sorrow and heartfelt respect, we remember Mr. Etienne Boonet, whose warmth, kindness, and dedication continue to live on in everything we do.
As a mark and respect and gratitude, our Inba Seva Sangam offered heartfelt condolences and paid floral tribute ( Pushpanjali) remembering his remarkable life and valuable contributions. He was a man of great responsability and service, holding several distinguished roles throughout his life.
His memories will stay forever in our hearts.

Onze penningmeester van Sahaya-Sawes, Etienne Boonet is op 27 maart 2026 zachtjes uit het leven gegleden.
Hij was een minzame persoonlijkheid, op wie je altijd kon rekenen.
In 2022 bezocht hij met Gerd en Mieke nog de lopende projecten in Sevapur.
Met veel dankbaarheid voor zijn inzet en uitgebreid administratief werk voor de vzw Sahaya-Sawes. Voor zijn humor, rust en geloof in de projecten.

1st day of Environment & Forest Protection Awareness program Summer Camp held on 6th of march 2026 in Inba Seva Sangam Sevapur.
200 village school students from 20 schools in Kadavur Taluk, 10 teachers, plus 12 forest officers from Tamil Nadu forest department attend this day.

3 days farmers training program on 26-28 th of february.
Theme : Biodynamic farming, preperation making (theory & practical) and marketing. 42 farmers from Vayiampatti attend the training in the yoga hall and Walter Hall in Sevapur, Joyful social society.

On 14th, 15th february a 2 days training program took place in Sevapur.
60 participants from various districts were attending the program. Teachers, village leaders, youth change makers, students parents get traning in village empowerment, infrastructure development and ecotourism, rural development in agriculture, culture, food, personal development...

1st of february 26, the Sevapur field research team started testing vegetables and fruits grown, Biodynamic, organic and with conventional practices. The Vitality Laboratory is established in Social Education Center Kadavur by CEORA and Inba Seva Sangam.

Application of biodynamic silica spray on traditional rice cultivation was carried out on 21st december. 5 biodynamic agri students, teachers, research staff, fieldworkers participated in this field research event.
