Photographia - Occaphot'

The organisation was taken over by a brand-new team for the 2016 edition in the hopes of continuing to preserving and promoting our photographic legacy. Today we have a clearer idea of where we would like to take the organisation. We plan to open a living centre for photography in which we could have studio and darkroom space available for you when you need a place that is adapted to all photograp

hic processes or just available space for you photo club meetings. We intend to invite teachers from all over the world to give workshops in the various processes and techniques. You would like to learn bromoil? Daguerreotype? Ok not problem. Oh, you want to learn in Italian? yes, fine! We want to have a space to host conferences on different subjects all to do with photography or about being a professional photographer. We have already started planning an International Collodion Festival for 2018. We will be setting up a technical library grouping as many manuals, both modern and antique, in as many languages as we can manage. Photographia has opened a Paypal account and we would gladly accept donations if you think our project is worthy of turning into a reality a little faster. If you have written a photographic manual of any type and would be willing to donate one or two copies we would be delighted to accept them. In the meantime, we’re in the process of planning Occaphot’ 2017 that is traditionally held on the first Sunday of December. We are looking for a new venue with better lighting.
