IMA aims to be the recognized voice of our profession, creating an image of the management assistant as an integral part of the management team.

International Management Assistants (IMA) is an international quality network of management support professionals who focus on their personal development and on the future of their profession. IMA Belgium on a mission: we encourage continuous personal development of our members and strive to remain ahead of the latest professional evolution by providing opportunities for training, cross-cultural relationships, exchange of ideas and international meetings with peers. The association is a non-profit organisation, which has no political aims and will not engage in political or trade union activities. IMA Belgium organises monthly meetings about business related topics or burning subjects, and offers training by experts. Those activities allow our members to adapt to developments in our profession and learn from both guest speakers and other members. The ongoing challenge is to make IMA Belgium visible throughout the professional landscape and to reach assistants in different industries. IMA Belgium as competence centre paves the way for and helps create a promising professional future for its members.

⭐🏆 IMA Belgium wins the Star Award for Best Growing Country Group! 🏆⭐

Some news is simply too good not to share! 💙

During this year's IMA Full Council Meeting, we were awarded the Star Award for Best Growing Country, recognising our incredible 19% membership growth over the past year! 🎉

Needless to say, we're still beaming with pride!

While this award is a wonderful recognition of the hard work and dedication of our National Committee, this achievement goes far beyond the people currently serving on the board.

We would especially like to thank our former National Chair, Chantal Sneijkers, who took the reins in 2023 and played an instrumental role in putting IMA Belgium firmly back on the map. Through her leadership, determination, and countless hours of dedication, she helped lay the foundations for the thriving association we are today.

Of course, our biggest thank you goes to all our members. Your enthusiasm, engagement, and belief in the value of IMA are what make our association so special. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

✨ This recognition is not just a celebration of how far we've come, but also a wonderful motivation to keep moving forward.

Here's to keeping the momentum going and reaching even greater heights in the years ahead! 🚀

🌍✨ Full Council Meeting – Stronger Together in Berlin! ✨🌍

Today, elected board members and observers from across the IMA member countries came together in Berlin for our IMA Global Full Council Meeting.

The morning was dedicated to important updates on the inner workings of our association, covering finances, marketing & communications, governance, and other key topics shaping IMA's future.

In the afternoon, we took collaboration to the next level! 💡 Splitting into smaller groups by function, we had the opportunity to sit down with our counterparts from other countries, exchange experiences, brainstorm ideas, and work together on advancing IMA's strategy for the years ahead.

These meetings are always incredibly valuable. There's something special about being in the same room with passionate colleagues from around the world, sharing challenges, learning from one another, and working towards a common goal: making IMA even stronger for our members.

💙 A big thank you to all our fellow board members and observers for your enthusiasm, valuable insights, and constructive discussions. It's inspiring to see what we can achieve when we put our minds together.

We're leaving this meeting with fresh ideas, renewed motivation, and plenty of inspiration to bring back to IMA Belgium.

🎓✨ School Member Spotlight: Erasmushogeschool Brussel ✨🎓

Our IMA Belgium school community keeps growing, and we couldn’t be happier! 💙

We are delighted to welcome Erasmushogeschool Brussel as our newest school member and look forward to introducing their students to everything the IMA network has to offer.

Through their school membership, Erasmushogeschool Brussel can invite up to five students to each of our IMA Belgium events. This gives students the opportunity to connect with experienced professionals, gain insights beyond the classroom, discover the latest developments in our profession, and start building their professional network before entering the labour market.

We are thrilled to see another higher education institution recognising the value of connecting students with the professional community early in their journey. Bringing together today’s professionals and the next generation is an important part of how we continue to strengthen and future-proof our profession.

🌿 Clarity in the AI Jungle: Navigating the Future with Confidence! 🤖

Yes, AI is here to stay. Yes, we use it daily. And yes, it’s evolving at lightning speed! But how do we navigate this ever-growing AI jungle without losing sight of what really matters?

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Tom Ysewyn from Front Row for an inspiring and lively keynote on Clarity in the AI Jungle. With 25 years of experience helping major organisations successfully integrate technology, Tom brought valuable insights into what generative AI means for executives and their organisations.

The message that stayed with us? AI is here to stay, but so are we! The key is learning to use it thoughtfully, responsibly and effectively, while keeping human judgement firmly in the picture.

A big thank you also to Commercial Director of The Hotel, Julien and his team, for the warm welcome and wonderful hospitality.

Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting our September event at Moxy Brussels City Centre, and we would like to take a moment to say a big thank you to the team for welcoming IMA Belgium so warmly.

Their vibrant and contemporary hotel provided a wonderful backdrop for our evening on cybersecurity — a comfortable and inspiring space where our members could learn, connect, and exchange ideas.

We are always grateful to the venues that open their doors to our community and help us create memorable experiences for our members. 💙

🎓✨ School Member Spotlight: Haute École EPHEC ✨🎓

We are delighted to introduce another valued IMA Belgium school member: Haute École EPHEC!

It makes us incredibly happy to see so many schools joining our community again this year and, more importantly, recognising the value that IMA can already bring to students before they enter the professional world.

Through their school membership, EPHEC can invite up to five students to each of our IMA Belgium events, giving them the opportunity to complement their studies with real-life professional experiences. They can meet experienced management support professionals, learn from our speakers, discover new trends within the profession, and start building their network before graduation.

For IMA Belgium, connecting with the next generation of assistants and management support professionals is an important part of our mission. By bringing students and experienced professionals together, we can learn from one another and help strengthen the future of our profession.
