À l’occasion de la sortie de son premier livre « Décoloniser le dancefloor » (Les Liens qui Libèrent, 2026), nous sommes ravixs d’accueillir Habibitch à la Bellone pour une rencontre autour des questions qui traversent son travail artistique et politique.

Comment les espaces festifs reproduisent-ils ou contestent-ils les rapports de pouvoir ? Que signifie décoloniser les corps, les imaginaires et les pistes de danse ? À partir de son ouvrage, Habibitch partagera ses réflexions sur la fête comme espace de résistance, de création et de transformation collective.

La rencontre sera suivie d’un temps de dédicaces. Les livres seront disponibles à la vente sur place grâce à la librairie Ici sont les Lions.

Habibitch est une activiste et une artiste pluridisciplinaire aux nombreuses casquettes : danseuse, chorégraphe, enseignante-chercheuse, DJ, écrivaine…Elle occupe une place centrale dans les milieux qu**rs, féministes, antiracistes et antifascistes en France et à l’international. Parmi toutes ses activités, elle est notamment la créatrice de la conférence phénomène « Décoloniser le dancefloor » qui rencontre un large succès depuis plusieurs années et l’autrice du livre éponyme (Les Liens qui Libèrent, 2026).

New costumes are on the way… and it’s a whole new level.

Lily Demay is a 23-year-old Moroccan trans woman, political science and international relations student, belly dance teacher, and human rights advocate. Through her activism and artistic practice, she brings together ambition, resilience and a deep love for the arts.

PRNC Palestinian DJ based in Brussels and resident of Gazelle L’Hafla. His sets layer trancy, groovy beats with Arab pop and electronic textures. Born in Bethlehem and shaped by Haifa’s underground scene, PRNCJDG approaches DJing as a radical political act.

Elias Jahshan (he/him) is a Lebanese-Palestinian journalist and writer, and the editor of groundbreaking anthologies THIS ARAB IS Q***R (2022) and THIS Q***R ARAB FAMILY (2025), both published by Saqi Books. This Arab Is Q***r was a 2023 Lambda Literary Awards finalist in the USA and shortlisted for the 2023 Bread & Roses Award in the UK, and has been translated into Italian and soon in French.
His short memoir ‘Coming Out Palestinian’ was anthologised in Arab, Australian, Other (ed. Randa Abdel-Fattah & Sara Saleh; Picador, 2019), while ‘Bittersweet Memories of a Palestinian Knight’ was anthologised in Ask the Night for a Dream (ed. Susan Muaddi Darraj; Palestine Writes Press, 2024). More recently, he was featured in the brand new anthology Homosexual Intifada (ed. Hannah Moushabek & George Abraham; Interlink Books, 2026) with his chapter ‘Palestinian Dreaming’. Elias is also a former editor-in-chief of Star Observer, Australia’s longest-running LGBTQ+ media outlet, and has been published in The Guardian, The New Arab, Gay Times, Attitude, Raseef22, Shado Mag, My Kali, and more.
Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Elias now lives in London, UK
