🗓 Depuis l’automne 2025, la Fondation pour le Logement des Défavorisés (ex Fondation Abbé Pierre) mène à la Boutique Solidarité de Gagny une série d’ateliers avec des personnes sans domicile, autour de la Déclaration des Droits des Personnes sans Abri.

🎯L’objectif : donner la parole aux personnes concernées pour identifier les droits à rendre prioritaires et formuler des propositions concrètes.

🌍 New Report Published: Recognised Refugees: Pathways to Stability and Inclusion in Europe

Throughout Europe, recognised refugees continue to face severe housing instability and homelessness risks long after being granted protection.

Despite receiving status, many people still struggle to secure safe, affordable accommodation. Our research highlights:

🔸 Persistent barriers to accessing housing systems
🔸 Long stays in emergency or inadequate accommodation
🔸 Structural gaps that push people toward homelessness
🔸 Promising practices that help people transition into stable housing

"In the absence of structured support, the moment of protection can therefore become a point of entry into homelessness."

🆕 New edition of our features an in-depth analysis of legal action following the closure of a municipal shelter in Badalona, Spain. A legal team successfully secured injunctions requiring through strategic proceedings to protect fundamental rights.

❗Human dignity, as set out in Article 1 of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, cannot be suspended during times of crisis.

➡️ FEANTSA, together with its members at the CAW groep in Belgium, Focus Ireland and their partners at the Irish Refugee Council welcome the European Court of Justice’s ruling from the 1st of August 2025, according to which EU Member States remain fully obligated, even in the face of sudden or unforeseeable migration pressures, to ensure seekers’ fundamental needs are met.

The Court confirms that failing to provide essential reception conditions, even temporarily, constitutes a clear breach of EU law and may trigger the liability of the Member State concerned.

🚨 Across Europe, failures to ensure dignified reception continue. In Belgium, more than 10,000 asylum seekers have been left without shelter in recent years despite repeated court rulings. In Ireland, people were still sleeping rough while awaiting accommodation, even after the ECJ decision.

À partir de ce lundi 1er décembre et pour 3 semaines, l'exposition Sans papiers, sans droits, sans abri fait son grand retour et sera exposée à l'administration communale de Jette. Passez jeter un oeil si vous l'aviez ratée lors des expos précédentes.

Par ailleurs, tout le monde est bienvenu lundi à 16h pour le vernissage, ça nous ferait fort plaisir de vous y voir. Ca se passe Chaussée de Wemmel 100, à Jette.

Un projet mené en collaboration avec Samusocial Brussels, Médecins Du Monde Belgique, Brussels Platform Armoede et L'Ilot - Sortir du sans-abrisme.
