๐ Why does Sweden still lack a national strategy for the social economy?
๐ Politicians from three Swedish regions and the City of รstersund, representing different parties (Green Party, Social Democrats, Christian Democrats and Centre Party), are calling on the current and future Swedish government to develop a national strategy for the social economy.
๐ They also highlight the importance of ensuring a strong role for local and regional authorities in the framework of the future EU Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
๐ฌ As they write:
"The climate transition must be implemented. The skills shortage is growing. Demographic changes are placing new demands on the welfare system. At the same time, the need for social cohesion, local development, democratic participation, and strengthened preparedness is increasing.
