🌍 YOUTH360 is heading to Madagascar!
A major new stage of the YOUTH360 – Developing and Recognising Youth Skills project is about to begin!
From 15 to 21 August 2026, 36 participants from the 12 YOUTH360 partner organisations will take part in a 7-day international Training Course in Antananarivo, Madagascar, hosted by Youth First Madagáscar , with the support of project coordinator CODEC vzw.
The Training Course has a very practical goal: to strengthen the capacity of people working with young people to design and implement 21st-century skills learning pathways and use Open Badges to recognise skills developed through youth work and non-formal learning.

Throughout the week, participants will:
🔹 exchange experiences and explore youth skills and employability;
🔹 learn to create Open Badges and online learning pathways;
🔹 discover good practices in skills learning and recognition;
🔹 connect with youth organisations and stakeholders in Madagascar;
🔹 test their learning pathways and badges;
🔹 and prepare action plans to bring the learning back home.

Participants will earn Open Badges throughout the programme and receive a Youthpass Certificate recognising their learning and achievements.
🌱 After the Training Course, they will bring this knowledge home and support local training activities on Open Badges and learning pathways, multiplying the impact of YOUTH360 across participating countries.
This is what YOUTH360 is about: connecting youth work, skills development, digital recognition and employability, while fostering learning between Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.
🇲🇬 Madagascar, here we come!

🇬🇪✨ During our ESC volunteering experience in Tbilisi, Georgia, our team learned how to use escape rooms as a creative tool for non-formal education and human rights awareness. Through the Eurobus initiative and our work at Manglisi Camp, we discovered new ways to make complex topics like discrimination, AI, personal data and women’s achievements easier to explore and discuss🧩💡 We strengthened our skills in teamwork, communication, critical thinking, creativity and facilitation while learning from each other and the participants. Most importantly, we saw how interactive learning can encourage people to reflect, share their perspectives and connect human rights with everyday life❤️ We left the experience with new tools, ideas and inspiration to bring into our future youth work.

🌍✨ Our participants have successfully completed their one-month European Solidarity Corps volunteering experience in Tbilisi, Georgia!
Hosted by NGO Droni, the project brought together young volunteers from Belgium, Italy, Germany, and Georgia to support local youth initiatives while developing their own skills through non-formal education and intercultural learning. Throughout the month, participants designed and facilitated educational escape rooms on topics such as human rights, discrimination, AI, and personal data, led activities during a youth camp, and strengthened their presentation, teamwork, and facilitation skills.
Beyond the educational activities, they discovered Georgian culture through local traditions, shared meals, cultural events, and everyday life in Tbilisi, building meaningful friendships and lasting international connections.
We are grateful to Droni for hosting our volunteers and creating such an inspiring learning environment🤗 And we are proud of our participants for their commitment, creativity, and positive impact, and we look forward to seeing how they will use this experience in their future community and youth work💙🌍

Pixels of Mind: Days 4 & 5
Sometimes the best way to reflect on our digital habits is to put our phones away. We spent the whole day disconnecting from screens and reconnecting with each other through conversations, touch, shared experiences, and spontaneous moments. For many, it became a real turning point of the project💙
The next day, inspired by the previous one, we worked in international teams to develop our own media projects, including podcasts, video reels, and an original game. Each group transformed their ideas into creative outputs exploring the themes of the exchange. The energy, teamwork, and imagination invested in the process created an amazing final products that the participants were proud to share with each other.

Pixels of Mind: Day 3
We started by stepping into the digital world! In our first session, we were challenged to act like algorithms. We were completing tasks with zero verbal communication, strictly through our phones 📱🤖. The second part of the day, on the contrary, was "human" activities: debates and fishball, where participants were able to share their personal experience.
After a delicious German lunch of Currywurst & Pommes 🇩🇪🍟, we took a refreshing break from screens to visit a local Alpaca farm 🦙 Spending time with these fluffy animals was the perfect way to recharge our human connection.
Wrapped up this amazing day with an unforgettable Greek cultural evening filled with traditional food, sweets, dance and great vibes! 🇬🇷✨

Pixels of Mind Youth Exchange: Day 2💻

Today, we really got into the program. Starting by defining our fears and expectations for the whole project, followed by research of each national team on challenges and opportunities that AI brings to our society.
However, the most interesting part of the day, and actually of everything we've done so far, was a game where we were divided into two teams: the Human team and the AI team. During the three rounds, we were laughing our hearts out; it was incredibly fun and engaging. Everyone participated, and we genuinely had an amazing time together.
🇵🇹The day ended with our Portuguese team presenting their country, their traditions, and cooking their amazing food.
