Race for the Cure crossed the Atlantic and arrived in Europe in 1999, when the first European Race for the Cure was organized in Italy. Other countries would follow soon!

What started as a single event has grown into a powerful European movement that unites communities, survivors, families, and supporters in the fight against breast cancer.

The very first Race for the Cure took place in 1983 in Dallas, Texas, USA, bringing together around 800 participants with one common goal: raising awareness and support for people affected by breast cancer.

More than 40 years later, Race for the Cure has grown into the world's largest breast cancer movement, inspiring millions of people to run, walk, and make a difference.
