Op 8 oktober vond voor de eerste keer “The Fight for the Ridge” plaats.

On October 8, “The Fight for the Ridge” took place for the first time. With this new initiative, the Genootschap Passchendaele Society 1917, the municipality of Zonnebeke, and the Passchendaele Museum are combining several existing ANZAC commemorations with initiatives for other nations involved in the Battle of Passchendaele—such as the United Kingdom and South Africa this time.
A series of moments of reflection at sites symbolic to the various countries was followed by a closing ceremony at GWGC Tyne Cot Cemetery.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to all those who made this initiative possible.
