Alpistan is a is a non governmental organization working for the diffusion of Alpine skills and competences in Afghanistan

The objectives of ALPISTAN are:
• improving life conditions in the mountain areas at risk of poverty;
• preserving the traditional values of mountain areas, in particular when related to a sustainable economical development;
• educate the younger citizens through sport activities, in particular in areas where sport has never been performed. Training professionals, local guides and attracting cus

tomers, Alpistan promotes the diffusion of tourism through the practice of trekking, climbing, cross-country skiing. This is aimed at both improving economic conditions and valuing environmental resources.
