Aikido Shoryukai België

Aikido Shoryukai België In 2019 kreeg Shoryukai België van Shimamoto shihan erkenning als vertegenwoordiger van zijn aikidostijl uit Shosenji dojo in Osaka.

Zodoende is er een vzw opgericht die ons toelaat om danexamens te organiseren die erkend worden door Aikikai so Hombu. De stichtende leden van Aikido Shoryukai Belgie vzw zijn Mushashugyo Mechelen en Aikikai Elewijt. In “Shoryukai” moet het woord “Sho” 正 worden geschreven met een teken dat “goed, juist” betekent.

“Ryu” 流 betekent richting of school. Samen betekenen ze een cirkel, waar de juiste manier wordt onderwezen.

“Kai” zoals ook in “Aikikai” of “Budokai” 会 betekent vereniging.

What a seminar we were given last week! Tamayuki Shimamoto shihan's first visit to Belgium, Poland and the Netherlands was a succes to say the least. Visually and mentally stimulating techniques were given to us by the new head of the Shosenji Aikido Dojo.

We want to thank all among you who have joined and look forward to keiko with you again in the future!

The seminar ended with enbukai by Ze'ev Erlich (6th dan), Pawel Zdunowski (6th dan) from Aikido Shoryukai Poland and our own sensei Jan Vanrompay (5th dan), with ukes Robin Ruelens (5th dan), Tom Vanrompay (4th dan) and Niels DeNutte (3d dan).

As we have been informed of the sudden passing of Ruud van Ginkel shihan, we want to extend our heartfelt sympathies to Ruud's family and those within the aikido community who feel his passing, most notably those within our sister federation Aikido Shoryukai Nederland. We remember Ruud as a kind and open aikidoka who shared his insight with anyone he came across. Additionally, Ruud was a big inspirer of the Shoryukai family, and many of us have greatly benefited from both his technical and personal guidance. As an aikidoka, he is sorely missed.
