Academic seminar "Homo ludens: from Late Antiquity to the Present": The seminar explores the historical, philosophical, and cultural dimensions of play from Late Antiquity to contemporary times, with particular attention to medieval thought and practices.

Grab your calendars and circle 23-27 August 2027: on those dates, the next five-yearly SIEPM Congress will take place in Zagreb, Croatia!

The theme for 2027 is “Philosophy in Dialogue in the Middle Ages”. We hope the topic will speak to all of you and encourage many of you to join us.

You will find all essential information in the First Circular Letter attached to this message. More updates will follow as we move closer to the event and as deadlines approach. The first significant deadline is 15 November 2026, when abstracts are due, so plenty of time to prepare your contribution!

We truly look forward to seeing many of you in Zagreb in 2027.
