Do you know any bio-renewable textile fiber, which is 100% and *endlessly* recyclable? It's ! Yesterday, the founder Luna Aslan gave us insights into the clothing industry and different kinds of fibres that exist today (including some pros and cons) 🧵

On top of this, Ms. Aslan told us about her own personal journey of founding a social business shortly after graduating and some of the challenges she was faced with. Surely great food for thought for some of us 💭

What's new in Brightminds this week? 💥

This Monday, Bert Vanholen, a project coordinator at Meer Bos Voor Vlandeeren, explained the ins and outs of the agency's initiative.

He illustrated the challenges that come with such a large-scale project, who has to be involved and how the reforestation impact is measured 🌲🌲🌲. Thanks for this informative and well-organized workshop!

We were honoured to have Mr. Hannes Hollebecq from on Thursday, who gave an informative and interactive workshop on Cooperative Entrepreneurship to our Brightminds participants. During the session, the speaker presented several notable companies engaged in cooperative entrepreneurship, and gave insights on how the participants could form their own cooperatives.

We are delighted to introduce Hannes Hollebecq from on November 17th, 2022 for a super fun and interactive workshop.

Cera is one of the largest cooperative in Belgium with around 400,000 members. Their goal- investing together in well-being and prosperity.

And this Thursday Cera will introduce to you the exciting world of cooperative entrepreneurship.

We are honoured to have Piet Colruyt as our second speaker. He has been particularly engaged in - impact investments in which not only financial returns are considered, but also the social consequences. Being one of the driving forces behind “Sign for my future” and “Climate Case”, he is especially concerned with climate change. In addition, he is the founder of . Impact House is a dynamic hub dedicated to changemakers and people eager to address pressing social and environmental challenges through entrepreneurship. It is a meeting place for anyone who dares to question the status quo and strives for a sustainable social impact.

In his last book “Allemaal Sociaal3.0” he looked for new recipes and sustainable solutions for society. How do we redefine long-term economic value? How and where do social entrepreneurs and commercial companies find each other? How do enterprising citizens really have an impact? And why does the government have to reinvent itself in order to help draw the lines for a different society, in which innovative partnerships lead to new insights?
