To round off our week of keynote introductions, we are pleased to announce that Auli Toom from the University of Helsinki will deliver the final keynote address at the JURE 2026 Conference in Tartu, Estonia.

Her keynote, Key Issues of PhD Graduates' Career Literacy for Successful Future Trajectories, will address the knowledge and capacities doctoral graduates need to navigate professional life beyond the doctorate. As the landscape of academic and non-academic careers continues to shift, career literacy has become an increasingly important dimension of doctoral education — and one that deserves serious attention.

We look forward to welcoming Dr. Toom to the University of Tartu for what promises to be a thought provoking contribution to the JURE 2026 programme on the 10th of July.

📣 Publication Alert: New Issue Frontline Learning Research (Vol 13. No. 4)

We are pleased to announce the publication of a new completed issue of Frontline Learning Research. This issue holds five articles that examine learning processes and educational experiences, between them combining investigations of innovative research methods and technologies (multimodal data, VR, and eye tracking), studies of learner behavior and engagement in educational contexts and learners’ conceptualizations of educational scientists.

We have an exciting addition to the JURE 2026 programme to share

🍽 The JURE 2026 Conference Dinner is now open for registration!

We are delighted to announce that the JURE 2026 Conference Dinner will take place on Thursday, 9 July 2026, from 19:30 to midnight, at the AHHAA Science Centre in Tartu . This is one of the city's most distinctive and celebrated venues.

The evening is a unwind after a packed conference schedule, enjoy a sit-down dinner, and spend a relaxed evening with colleagues and fellow researchers.

A few practical notes:
❗ Spaces for the Conference Dinner are limited. We encourage all participants who wish to attend to register as soon as possible.
🍴 If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know by emailing us at [email protected] so we make sure your needs are catered for.

🚨 Accepted presenters at JURE 2026 the registration deadline is TOMORROW, 5 May 2026. 🚨

We know life gets busy, but your research deserves to be heard. Don't let an admin task stand between you and presenting your research at the 30th edition of JURE in Tartu this summer. 🇪🇪

If you have not yet registered, please do so at your earliest convenience. Presenters who are not registered by 5 May will not be able to give their presentation at the conference.

If you have an accepted presentation at the 30th JURE Conference, taking place in 6=10 July in Tartu, Estonia, please make sure to complete your conference registration by 10 May 2026 to secure your place.

An active EARLI membership is required, so be sure to check your status before starting the registration process. Reduced membership and conference fee rates are available for JURE members, Longstanding members, and EARLI members from low GDP countries.
