After careful consideration by the event management committee, IRB competition will not be contested at the Lifesaving World Championships 2026.

This is not the end of IRB World Championships racing. We look forward to having the discipline back on the schedule at future World Championships.

ILS has accepted an invitation to join the World Health Organization Global Alliance for Drowning Prevention, with President Graham Ford AO representing ILS in this important forum.

This announcement comes as we confirm that the 2027 World Conference on Drowning Prevention will be held in Rome, Italy 🇮🇹
