Alternative protein are actual meat and animal products, or novel products with the function of conventional animal products, generated through cell culture and other biotechnological principles. Leuven Alt.Pro is a Belgian organisation that seeks to establish a community for students interested in alt. protein, to introduce courses and research projects in academia, and to provide (thesis) internships and start-up experiences in the industry.
