Alle kinderen uit het bijzonder (speciaal) onderwijs en kwetsbare kinderen moeten de kans krijgen de sterrenhemel te bewonderen met behulp van een telescoop. Dat is het uitgangspunt van de Werkgroep Kijkerbouw van de Volkssterrenwacht Armand Pien, naar een idee van Jean-Pierre Grootaerd en Harrie Rutten.

VIP day Thursday 18 september at CERN Beamline for Schools welcomed the Belgian Ambassador, Christophe Payot; the Wallonia-Brussels General Delegate, Sharon Weinblum; and Ronan Waelbrouk, an alumnus of Collège Cardinal Mercier.
Also present were Turkish Ambassador Burak Akçapar and Third Secretary Gökçe Esma Erçikti.
There was also a representative from ROLEX: Caterina Boitani.
Also present were CERN & Society Foundation representatives, including the head of the international department, Charlotte Warakaulle; the director of accelerators and technology, Mike Lamont; and the Science Gateway operational group leader, François Briard.
Representatives of Belgium and Turkey at CERN, Filip Moortgat and Emmanuel Tsesmelis, were also present.

SSVI with 6 Bresser telescopes at Sciences Physiques et Avenir Madagascar.

"SSVI Bresser telescopes in Madagascar with Sciences Physiques et Avenir Madagascar.

On 02th August 2025, the club section of Sciences Physiques et Avenir association in Fianarantsoa (called Sciences Soa Fianatsa), has organized the 2nd edition of the in partnership with EMIT Fianarantsoa and IAU Office of Astronomy Outreach NOC Madagascar. This event gathered more than 110 students of the University of Fianarantsoa.

The objectives were to bring together astronomy enthusiasts on the campus to discuss about astronomy and astrophysics via conferences, extraterrestrial life, to discover and to observe wonders of the sky (planets, moons, star clusters...) with 06 Bresser telescopes given by SSVI.

It was an incredible event. Thank you all.

Special mention for the incredible leadership of Soa Dyamondra Rabemiafara, Sedramampisaina Romaric and their entire team. Milay ianareo."
