We will be regularly hosting community events which we will post here as well as our opening hours In todays world we are constantly seeing the effects of the restricted freedom of art, culture and initiative. Those who would love to share there gift freely with the world, are instead forced to sell out and redeem there gift as a commodity for those who can afford it or they themselves cannot 'aff
ord' to focus on art and thus take a job to simply earn a living. What if that wasn't the case and instead capital was channeled to support the art, culture and initiatives of our society in a free, unconditional way, that is what we are experimenting with here. We offer fLUXus Free Place to you as an unconditional gift, we give you this space to do with what you will, expecting nothing in return. Within fLUXus we host a money experiment where anyone is invited to give what they wish so that we may combine our monitory resources and at the closing of fLUXus collectively support a social initiative expressed in the community. Aside from the money experiment we also welcome other ways of giving, whether it is a offered workshop, a poem, cake, or anything else you wish to offer. You are also welcome to express a need to the community surrounding fLUXus with the possibility that it may be filled by the community. So far at fLUXus we have hosted: Concerts, jam sessions, storytelling, dance parties, film screenings, study space, study groups, potlucks, werewolf and many other amazing things.
