“I identify as a gay man. I don’t hide that, but speaking openly about it in football is still difficult. It remains a sensitive subject. The idea that a gay man can be taken seriously as a football coach is not yet a given for many people. I’m the only one at my club. Some players and board members know, but it’s usually not spoken about. It hangs in the air somewhere.” - 🇧🇪⚽️

“Ik identificeer me als gay man. Dat verberg ik niet, maar openlijk benoemen in het voetbal is nog steeds moeilijk. Het blijft een kwetsbaar onderwerp. Het idee dat een gay man serieus kan worden genomen als voetbalcoach leeft bij velen nog niet vanzelfsprekend. Binnen mijn club ben ik de enige. Sommige spelers en bestuursleden weten het, maar het wordt meestal niet uitgesproken. Het hangt ergens in de lucht.” - Elias 🇧🇪⚽️

Trans athletes: we see you!
We celebrate your strength, your joy, and your right to take up space in sport. 💜🏳️‍⚧️

But we also see the growing barriers trying to push you out:
policies that police bodies, narratives that question your legitimacy, and systems that were never built with you in mind.

Out For The Win stands with you. We’re fighting with you. And we won’t stop until sport is a place where you can show up exactly as you are. Unapologetically, fully, proudly.

You belong here. Always.

2025 wasn’t an easy year for our LGBTQIA+ community in sport. But progress still happened, because people chose to act.

Out For The Win choose to focus on what moved us forward, and to carry that momentum into 2026. 💫

Alongside many organisations, we will keep pushing for safer, inclusive sport for all.

Let’s raise a glass to that. 🍹🥂🥤🥛☕️
