Since we started to work 10 years ago, we realized that more and more people are getting bored at work, losing their motivation and feeling unhappy. We discovered the main reason is that they are not listened to, they think they don't matter and can't really make the difference at their workplace. That’s why we developed the VoxCollector: to collect people’s opinion and drive change. Initially we used an eye-catchy tool, looking like a giant cartoon speech-bubble (see logo), with 2 arcade-machine-like buttons (red and green) and a big screen. But since Covid kicked in, we also developed a Teams/Slack module for remote workers, as well as a cardboard version of our Vox, with pedals. VoxCollector displays one question every day on various topics. We worked in close collaboration with psycho-sociologists and academics (KUL) to weight the impact of each question on different categories (Vertical communication, social support, autonomy, energy levels, etc.). The questions are short, fun and engaging. The votes are anonymous but the results are displayed live in the cafeteria, company restaurants or general Teams/Slack channel. The conversation can start. A dashboard provides the management with a global view of the company’s performance on the different categories in order to see where to put the efforts. In the manner of arcade games, the boss can ask people their opinion on something specific with “the question of the boss”.
