Back in 2013, a group of friends from the Solvay Business School of Economics and Management, the Louvain School of Management, the University of Namur and the ICHEC Brussels Management School decided to go beyond their academic courses and created a national entrepreneurship initiative for students. These included Jessica, Nicolas and Louis-Philippe, who had a common passion : Entrepreneurship. T
he aim of this project was to promote entrepreneurship in Belgium especially among students. Today, UStart is the largest student entrepreneurship club implemented by students for students in Belgium. Our mission tends to strive to become the Belgium’s community of student-entrepreneurs and a key actor in the national startup landscape. Furthermore, UStart aspires to become an impactful change maker at the European level. In order to reach this goal, the UStart clubs organize activities and events with the aim of promoting and making student aware of entrepreneurship spirit. There are two kinds of UStart events :
Networking : students meet entrepreneurs
Training : students trained by experts to entrepreneurial skills
The idea of UStart is to give every student the opportunity to launch and develop its own project. Nowadays UStart has around 150 members, 11 clubs in Belgium and more than 40 events per year. Therefore even if UStart was initiated by 3 friends, we can say that today we owe the club success and growth to each of its member and to you ! UStart from passion to impact
