🚆 Connecting Ukraine and Moldova more closely to Europe

We’re supporting studies to prepare better rail connections between Ukraine, Moldova and the EU transport network.

👉 Ukraine: assessing options for European gauge rail links towards Lviv and Kyiv via Kovel, for both passengers and freight.
👉 Moldova: preparing an electrified European gauge railway between Ungheni and Chișinău.

Both studies are being carried out by EIB Advisory experts through EU funded programmes, supporting closer transport integration with the EU.
