🔶 GENERAL ASSEMBLY 🔶

Last Saturday the General Assembly of our Society took place at the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences.

At this occasion, we had the pleasure to listen to two outstanding communications delivered by young researchers working in Belgium in biological anthropology and prehistory 💀.

Dr. Pierre-Jean Dodat (RBINS) gave a presentation about the relevance of the isotopes of calcium in paleoanthropology for diet and life history traits reconstruction.

Dr. Mathilde Daumas (ULB) presented the main results of her doctoral study that aimed to investigate the Koksijde osteological collection through curatorial, bioprofiling and paleopathological perspectives.

During our assembly, we addressed the scientific exciting events that occured during the 2024 year 👨‍🏫. And we are looking forward to organising the next ones and to releasing the coming Anthropologica & Praehistorica volumes 📚!

🔶 GENERAL ASSEMBLY 🔶

You are kindly invited to the general assembly of your Society. It will be organized on the Saturday 7th of June at the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences 🧑‍🔬 (VIP room - welcome desk under the whale)!

A scientific event with three communications from young researchers working in anthropology in Belgium will be held before the start of the general assembly 💀.

See you there from 2:30pm to listen to these exciting scientific talks:

- 2:30-3pm : Pierre-Jean Dodat - Isotopes du calcium et paléo-anthropologie (RBINS)

- 3-3:30pm : Mathilde Daumas - New data on the cemetery of the Abbey of Dunes of Koksijde (ULB)

- 3:30-3:50pm : Ijk Van Hattum - Mobility and Subsistence in the Neolithic Meuse Basin: Insights from Isotopic and Dental Analyses (UGent - VUB)

After a coffee break, we will continue with our general assembly till 5pm 🗓️
