Behind the scenes, something has been taking shape.

A fresh look, a smoother experience, and a platform designed to make it easier for young people across Europe to explore opportunities and access the benefits they deserve.

Today, we’re excited to share it with you that the European Youth Card website has been redesigned, not just to look better, but to work better for the people who use it.

Because while the platform evolves, our mission stays the same: supporting young people across Europe. Discover what’s new: eyca.org

Our members are always bringing opportunities to young people across Europe! 🌍

This time, the news comes from Madrid, where the Government of the Community of Madrid hosted the presentation of the IV Young Entrepreneurship Awards, a line of grants promoted by Carné Joven Comunidad de Madrid, supporting young changemakers aged 14–30.

With €100,000 awarded across Innovation and Social & Environmental Commitment, winning projects included apps for accessible parking, AI tools for responsible tech use, and initiatives bringing culture to underserved neighborhoods.

If you live in Spain, have you heard of these awards? 👀

Always a pleasure to visit the Youth Centre in Budapest! ✨

This time, Joana from the Youth Panel joined the Advisory Council on Youth as an observer, and EYCA was also part of the meeting. Around 100 national and international youth stakeholders came together to discuss youth participation, policy, and initiatives such as peace education and inclusion. 🤝

It’s great to keep amplifying youth voices in European-level discussions.

Your voice, our 2030 🎯

What are young people in Europe really worried about right now?
The EYCA Youth Panel asked and more than 2,030 young people responded, sharing honest, personal stories about the challenges shaping their lives today. At a time when key EU decisions are being made (from the future budget to youth strategy and housing policies), these voices couldn’t be more important.

💬 What did they highlight?

* Jobs, education, affordability and independence
* Economic instability and housing
* Loneliness and community integration
* The pressures of adulthood and mental health
* Civic rights and sustainability
* Barriers to emancipation

Beyond identifying the main challenges, the Youth Panel young is sharing 10 concrete recommendations from fair work and affordable housing to better mental health support and meaningful participation in decision-making.

👉 Young people are not just the future, they are the present. Their voices must shape the policies that shape their lives.

News from our members 🇩🇪

Our member in Germany has launched the Berlin Youth Card - the first regional youth card in the country and a new addition to the European Youth Card Association network.

Initiated in Berlin’s largest district, Pankow, the card connects young people aged 18–30 with a wide range of local benefits across the city, from discounts on everyday favourites to reduced entry at major cultural attractions such as the Planetarium, Deutschland Museum and Madame Tussauds.

The Berlin Youth Card also includes one year of international travel health insurance, supporting young people to explore with confidence, both locally and across Europe.

A strong example of how our members continue to expand opportunities for young people at both local and European level.
