Crucial reminder: pay transparency matters even more in the public sector, where professions often under-valued are predominantly carried by women. Delays in implementation only prolong unfair pay gaps for teachers and other education staff across Europe.

En Belgique, des mesures d’austérité dans l’enseignement ont été adoptées en pleine nuit, malgré une forte mobilisation syndicale et citoyenne.
Augmentation de la charge de travail sans compensation, recul des droits, hausse des frais d’inscription… Ces décisions risquent d’aggraver la pénurie d’enseignants et de détériorer la qualité de l’éducation.
Plus grave encore, les règles démocratiques ont été contournées pour accélérer le vote.
Le CSEE soutient pleinement les syndicats belges dans leur mobilisation. L’éducation est un droit fondamental et un bien public. Les gouvernements doivent investir, pas couper.
