Sometimes, changing a life doesn’t mean looking far, it happens right here in Belgium. 🇧🇪
This month, we’re supporting a project close to home: MamaBW in Ottignies.
A refuge offering 24/7 shelter to families escaping domestic violence and severe hardship in Belgium.
Our funding helps fit out a new extension featuring:
"Café en Bulle" a space for mothers to upskill, connect, and rebuild self-esteem through sewing workshops ("Fil en soi").
"Rêves d'enfants" a safe, creative haven for their children.
From tailoring clothes for job interviews to hosting support groups, this project helps women rebuild their lives with dignity.
The space hosts sewing workshops, self-esteem sessions, music activities, reading groups, and more, things that weren’t possible before.

𝐁𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 a mother and her child find a safe shelter.
Thank to you, they can rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.

✨Exile • Resilience • Hope 🇮🇪
Three words at the heart of A Voice from Ireland.
The musical journey of the Gala begins with the story of Irish emigration in the nineteenth century, when countless men and women left Ireland to build new lives far from home.
From this history emerges a story with a universal resonance: leaving and belonging, separation and solidarity, hardship and resilience, and ultimately, hope.
Through Irish melodies, opera, musical theatre and contemporary works, the programme will explore these emotions and the experiences that connect people across countries and generations.
On 27 October, let music tell the story.
