Elkötelezett az MKKSZ-en keresztül az önkormányzati humánerőforrás szakszervezeti szervezettségének növelésében, a rendkívül alacsony köztisztviselői keresetek növelésében - mondta Klaus Heeger, CESI Főtitkára a budapesti rendezvényen.

International Women’s Day is a moment to recognise progress - but also to confront the persistent inequalities women still face in the world of work.

Across Europe, women continue to experience lower pay, fewer career opportunities, and structural barriers that limit their participation in the labour market. The gender pay gap remains a reality. Unpaid care responsibilities still fall disproportionately on women. And many workplace systems continue to create disincentives for women to enter, remain, or progress in employment.

Trade unions play a key role in addressing these inequalities.

At CESI – Independent Trade Unions, we stand with women across Europe who raise their voices for fair pay, equal opportunities, and working conditions that recognise the value of both paid and unpaid work. Achieving real equality requires concrete policies, strong social dialogue, effective education and workplaces that work for everyone.

Equal rights at work are not optional, they are essential for a fair and sustainable labour market.

In a rapidly changing world of work, ensuring access to quality employment remains a key challenge for policymakers, employment services, businesses, social partners, trade unions and civil society.
‍
As labour markets are challenged by industrial transformations, digitalisation and robotisation, green transitions, demographic shifts, and new forms of work, active labour market policies (ALMPs) have become critical tools for fostering inclusion, resilience, and sustainable growth.
‍
As part of CESI’s EU co-funded ‘Activer’ project, this year’s fifth edition of CESI’s Summer Days will explore the evolving role of ALMPs in shaping a new EU Quality Jobs Roadmap as announced by the European Commission.
‍
The event will bring together policymakers, employment agencies, social partners, civil society actors and researchers to discuss emerging labour market trends, best practices in ALMP implementation, and the role of dialogue in driving change.
