🏙️ What would a metropolis build on feminist principles look like? How can we recognize and expose the social inequalities built into our cities, homes, and neighbourhoods? What are the alternative visions and futures that we can imagine together as a community to bring radical change in our inhabiting culture?
In the book Feminist City, Leslie Kern tackles these questions and more, leading the way towards imaginative new ways of living, dismantling patriarchal dominated narratives and models.
On the 19th of March Agnese Marcigliano, co-coordinator of the collective will read some passages from Kern’s book, focusing on the experiences of mothers in public space, their evolving relationships with the body of the cities and their inhabitants.
Agnese is an architect, urbanist and an activist, focusing mainly on the intersections between issues of gender, care and mobility. She promotes a transdisciplinary and intersectional approach to architecture and urbanism, with a focus on the development of participatory practices and community building.
Don’t miss out on a very enriching evening!
