EAFJD President Kaspar Karampetian has been awarded the "Person of the Year" title by "Azdarar" magazine.

Symbolically, the award ceremony took place in Noyemberyan, where Kaspar Karampetian—a honorary citizen of the town—has facilitated the implimentation of significant programs and projects that have contributed to its development, improvement, and community capacity building.

On May 28, Armenians Worldwide commemorate Republic Day, the anniversary of the battles of Sardarapat, Kharakilisa and Bash Abaran, the crucial battles that saved the Armenian Nation from destruction from the Turkish armies.
Just 3 years after the Armenian Genocide, the valor, bravery and selflessness of those combatants allowed for the establishment of the First Armenian Republic.
A reminder that in the face of existential threats and obstacles, our ancestors did not give in to hopelessness, instead uniting under the singular goal of fighting for survival.

Today, the EAFJD stands in solidarity with the Pontic Greek community as they solemnly commemorate the anniversary of the Pontic Greek Genocide. We remember the hundreds of thousands of innocent Pontic Greeks who were systematically
persecuted and murdered by the Ottoman Turkish authorities between 1914 and 1923.

"As Armenians, we share a deep understanding of the horrors of genocide and the enduring struggle for recognition and justice" stated EAFJD President Kaspar Karampetian.
“The continued denial of the Pontic Greek Genocide, along with the denial of the Armenian and Assyrian Genocides, by the Turkish government is unacceptable, perpetuating a cycle of impunity and emboldening more acts of genocidal ethnic cleansing as was witnessed in Cyprus and Artsakh. Our communities must remain united in demanding Justice and accountability. It is through our combined strength that we will overcome this shared struggle. The EAFJD stands ready to aid our Pontic Brothers in the struggle for recognition and justice”.
