81 years ago. Close enough that it should still haunt us.
And yet — if we stop talking about it, if we stop remembering — it doesn’t fade away. It comes back across parts of Europe, antisemitism is showing up in new faces.
Today from the European Parliament we were taken to a live guided tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Site.

Young Leaders Academy🌍🇪🇺 brought together 20 emerging leaders from across Europe for an intensive 3-day program in Brussels focused on faith-based advocacy and dialogue related to Israel within the European policy landscape.
Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with Members of the European Parliament, senior EU officials, diplomats and leading Israel advocates. Through these high-level exchanges, the academy provided insights into European policymaking and international relations. The 5th Academy was co-hosted by 🇱🇻 MEP Rihards Kols and the New Direction Foundation, Brussels-based think tank and policy foundation associated with the European Conservatives and Reformists Party (ECR).
